Hello everyone.
I am a student from Bangladesh. I come from a Muslim background, but I am very interested in learning more about Christianity.
I want to be honest that I am still learning and trying to understand. At the same time, I feel some fear and uncertainty about how this interest might affect my life where I live.
I do not have a job yet, and I am thinking about my future. I would really appreciate advice from you about how I can continue learning in a wise and safe way.
Thank you for your kindness, patience, and guidance.

Welcome Alamin, I often hear in Christian Chats how dangerous it is to be a Christian in a Muslim community, but I also know many Muslims who have no problems with Christians so you will have to judge based on your experience as to how much danger there is to you. Islam and Christianity share many roots and thus have many similarities, but also differences. Also separating modern Christianity from politics, both current and historic, can be difficult. There are far more beliefs in Christianity that have political origins than most Christians realize, yet many Christians claim these beliefs are fundamental truths that need to be accepted. If you ask me any specific questions, I will attempt to answer to the best of my ability, and give both the commonly accepted answers and commentary about how the specific stance came to be.

In anticipation of one point that will likely be presented as absolutely necessary, the Trinity has some political roots. Christianity in the late 1st century and early 2nd was all over the place on this subject. In one work from that period God was clearly a singular entity, or else was a binary with Jesus as the second part, or a trinity with the "Holy Spirit". Tertullian first developed the idea of the Trinity in the late 2nd or early 3rd centuries, Jesus was officially recognized as divine in 325 at the Council of Nicaea, and the Holy Spirit was officially recognized in 382. In 384, Emperor Theodosius I proclaimed that the trinity was the only acceptable understanding of the Christian deity. But any will tell you that it is clearly in the Bible and a must believe.

I’m trying to understand this topic as a student. What you mentioned about the historical development, the disagreements, and the role of the councils is really important and interesting to me. At the same time, I see that many believers argue that the doctrine received clearer language later, while its foundations were already present earlier.
I’m still learning, so rather than jumping to conclusions, I want to understand the arguments and evidence from different sides. If you can recommend any good sources or readings, I’d really appreciate it.

One work that deals with how Christians view Jesus is "When Jesus Became God" by Richard Rubenstein. It is about 25 years old, but well researched.

Rubenstein’s work is widely regarded as a significant historical contribution. Nevertheless, many Christian scholars argue that the confession of Jesus’ divinity did not originate at Nicaea; rather, they locate its foundations within the New Testament itself and view the council as a moment of clarification and formal definition amid ongoing debates. Consequently, multiple interpretations of the doctrine’s development remain in conversation

I would agree that its foundations are in the New Testament, but Nicaea's determination shifted the clear understanding of when Jesus became divine. Some of the evidence in the New Testament suggests apotheosis while other points support pre-existence as divine.

My conference paper on a passage in the New Testament that implies apotheosis, although not directly referenced in the paper, is on ResearchGate (PDF) The Shroud of Turin in 1 John 5

Welcome, alamin43! If you can get access to a Bible, that would be awesome... don't know if that is possible. If you can, read the New Testament. In addition you can talk to God and get to know Him. There is no other God and when you accept the free gift of eternal life that God made possible via the sacrifice of His Son for the remediation of our sins, you will receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit which will dwell in you and assist you in your walk.

God bless you for seeking God's truth.
Jesus said, seek and you shall find.
I'm happy to help however I can. If you have any questions, please reply directly to me or put @ before my name so I know to respond.
I want to answer you so that it's simple and doesn't seem overwhelming because it is not.
Jesus compares salvation true Biblical Christianity to walking through a door, drinking water and it is very easy. He did the hard part. We can start with this video taught to younger students but applied to every age.

Genesis 1:1
New International Version

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 3
New International Version

3 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”
4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”
13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”
The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,
“Cursed are you above all livestock
and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”
16 To the woman he said,
“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labor you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”
17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’
“Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”
20 Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.
21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” 23 So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

Romans 3:23
New International Version

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

John 14:6
New International Version

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Acts 2:38
New International Version

38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Revelation 21:1-8
New International Version

21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
