Hey Everyone,

Taken from another thread about Chat Meetups:

I'm down for (another chat meetup.) Same day of week, same time of day. Friday (February 13) at 6:00 p.m. eastern, 3:00 p.m. pacific. I'll start a ForumMeetup chat room that morning and be there at 5:00 p.m. my time.

Here is the link to the chat rooms -- just login like you do for the forums, then look for the ForumMeetup room to enter on that day:

https://christianchat.com/app/

Let's see what kind of fun we can kick up on Friday the 13th!!! Lynx will be there at the start; due to time differences, I get there about an hour later. We usually go for another hour after that, but just kind of go with the crowd. You can come and go as you please, and whether you want to talk on the mic, only type, or be a silent lurker, we welcome you to stop by!

Now if I were the one opening the room, I like "colorful" titles (just like for my threads) and would choose something like MischiefManagedMarvelously, but... alas. I have to behave. New users to the site and those not familiar with my antics might misunderstand.

And so, I shall try to be good (not very exciting.) I can't guarantee we'll have a chat as lively as last time, but we can try!

If nothing else, I've checked in a few times to get a feel for the regular chat crowd and a regular mod always threatens to tase me -- even when it's SOMEONE ELSE who's causing the trouble and I haven't done anything!! (Scout's honor, it wasn't me!!):cool: So if that mod is there, you'll at least see me trying to bob, weave, and dodge my way past security the whole time!

Both marrieds and singles have shown up to every chat, so feel free to drop by no matter what you're status (bring your spouse along if you can!)

We're all about sharing the days of our lives (but with a little less drama,) and maybe even having a few laughs along the way.

Hope to see you there! :)

What timezone would that be? What city you at, so I can check if I'm awake/free at that time. Except...I've never tried the chat cos it just didn't work on my mac.

For the record: I'll be rolling in about 6pm eastern, 3pm pacific time. But the room will be in place that morning. Anybody wants to pop in earlier, there ain't no rule against it.

Please provide the time zone. ( I'm from East Africa - Kenya)

We mention the time zone repeatedly in both the title and in several posts -- 5 PM Central Time.

Lynx also provide several time conversions.

For everyone whose time isn't specifically listed, just do a Google search that will tell you what this will be in your local time, as we can't provide the time equivalents for every worldwide possibility.

Just type something like, "What time is 5 PM Central in my local time?" and that should do the trick. :)

For anyone not understanding the time differences, I simply typed into Google: "What is 5 PM Central Time in my local time?" and it popped right up.

For anyone who doesn't understand how to ask Google to convert a given time into their own local time, I'm honestly not sure what other help I can offer, as it's the only thing I do myself.

I'm not in the Central Time Zone either, and even though it's always been at the same time, I still Google it as a reminder because I have so many other dates and times I have to keep track of.

oh ok
I've been away for like 2 years, and the internet has moved ahead and everything , even google has gone AI now.

This is what its says for me

5 PM Central Time (CST) is 12:00 PM (noon) the next day in Auckland, New Zealand (NZDT), as Auckland is 19 hours ahead of CST. The time difference is 17 to 19 hours, depending on the specific time of year due to daylight saving.

Daylight saving doesn't start yet. I have to remember when that is. Its because of our farmers needing to milk the cows apparently, they have to get up at 4am to do it. Most people cannot get up that early.

I would still like to know where exactly this 'central time' is. Like where on the planet? The north pole? The middle of Nowhere? Timbuktu? Addis Ababa?? The Bermuda Triangle???

Yes.

This is exactly the same answer that Lynx came up with when he took the time to look it up and provide the answer for you in post #4. :)
