and the NT teaches that we are to live a very particular way.
It also teaches that we are incapable of doing so [in our own strength]. That is why we have need of a Savior in the first place! If we were able, there would be no need of a Savior. . .

“Obey Him for salvation” sounds like one is only obeying Him to get a reward to me I’ll agree to disagree on that.
Did I say we obey for salvation??
Do you have the post??

I DO believe that we are to obey God AFTER we're saved.
Don't you?

The problem with rules is that they don’t cover everything and humans tend to like to add to them or subtract from them. Humans also like to find the loopholes to get around them.
Yes Sir.

There’s a reason Jesus said the two greatest commandments were loving God and loving our neighbors. I don’t need a rule on giving to the poor. If I love the poor that giving comes naturally There’s no rule that says I shouldn’t drive my truck through my neighbor’s flowerbed, but if I love them I naturally won’t do that.

What rules do you see that love and the fruits of the Spirit don’t cover? What fruits of the Spirit do not come from love? God is the root. God is love. God produces the fruit in us because He loves us. Love is the first fruit and the underlying principle for all the rest.
The two great commandments cover for all the rest.
We agree.

But we also know because we've been taught.
How do we know that we should not do drugs?
Because we were taught that our bodies are a temple - of God.
So we protect and respect that temple.

Since there is no rule that states DO NOT TAKE DRUGS we know that it's wrong from knowing about our "temple".

Just to add that the fruits of the Spirit are something that is produced by the Holy Spirit.

Rules are something that WE obey and offer that obedience to God.

Romans 12:1
12 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, [a]acceptable to God, which is your [b]spiritual service of worship.

Morning, we are saved by grace all of HIS word is good.

First Paul is speaking to one of the church's he started in Ephesus not the unsaved.

Ephesians 1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Second this was the begining or the building of that church.

Acts 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
7 And all the men were about twelve.
8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

The foundation of that church was the same as Acts 2.

You will not see anywhere after the book of Acts specific instructions on how to be saved because they are letters to those who have been saved, off the milk on the meat.

Do you know all of the trouble that GOD went thougth to put water in place for us to remove our sins?

I'm sure you know the story of John how he was born?

What does the name John mean in Hebrew?

In Hebrew, the name John originates from Yochanan (יוֹחָנָן), which means "God is gracious," "Yahweh has been gracious," or "God is merciful". It is derived from two Hebrew components: Yo (a shortened form of YHWH/Jehovah) and chanan (to be gracious, show favor, or endow).

GOD GRACIOSLY gives us the water to remove our sins.

You clam baptism is a work, who is doing the work?

Is it the one obeying HIS word and in obidence going in the water?

That's called obidence.

Or is it the one who has been reborn batizing you?

Yep, after we are reborn it's our job to do HIS will.

Or is it JESUS, HE is the one who is forgiving all of your sins.

Yep, HE said it in HIS word and if we are obident HE has to do it.

If you don't belive all the above a couple of questions.

1. Are we born in sin?

2. If so how de we get rid of them?

So?

Let's look at the thinking of saint Ouch.

The saved have to get water baptized to be saved?
But, they are saved?

The saved have to get water baptized to remove our sins,
because the Cross was not sufficient?

As the King James would say?

You logic sucketh!

It also teaches that we are incapable of doing so [in our own strength]. That is why we have need of a Savior in the first place! If we were able, there would be no need of a Savior. . .
Yes sir.
I'm not a Pelagian.

OK
Time up.
No more time for the 20 questions.

The baptism with the Spirit by Jesus is what happened in Acts 2 and 10, and throughout the book of Acts.

The filling of the Spirit is the same as the filling of the tabernacle and temple with God's presence. Just as God filled those places with His presence, He fills the believer with His presence.

The Holy Spirit permanently indwells the believer.
That is why we are called a temple of the Holy Spirit.

When the Spirit fills us?
That is when the Spirit is in control over our flesh and works within our own thinking process as being one with us.

All Christians all have the indwelling.
Sealed unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30

But, not all have the filling of the Spirit.
As evidenced by one's inability to think with sound doctrine.

By their fruit, you will know who is not filled with the Spirit.
By their wisdom in handling and thinking with the Word of God, you will know who, is.

It is a pain to watch those who keep failing to recognize some area of sin in their life that keeps them from being filled.

Genez...

How about this -if it helps (not sure).

We are saved immediately upon believing...here there is no doubt whatsoever.
The Holy Spirt comes to be with us....
At BAPTISM the Holy Spirit indwells the person and so Jesus says that He is in us.

Galatians 2:20
20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me;

I'm not replyiing to Ephesians 4:30 becaues I don't care to begin a new idea but the sealing of the Holy Spirit MEANT baptism in the early church.

Indwelling is different than being filled. We are responsible to be filled with the Spirit, but have nothing to do with being indwelled. One is the work of the Spirit placing us into the body of Christ and the other involves our daily submission and yielding to the Spirit.

Oh, but I remember you. ;):p
