Estimates are that between oil and mineral rights, Venezuela is sitting on about $20 trillion+ in assets. I don't know if thats accurate or not. But if it's true, that kind of money makes a significant dent in our national debt.
I'm still waiting to see how all this comes about. Does the US now take over all that? Supposedly, we are running their nation now until opposition party's form a new government.
Another thing I've heard about this is that this takeover will hurt China's ability to prepare a invasion of Taiwan. China needed the oil and mineral rights in Venezuela. I don't understand that part yet but maybe there was something to it?
If this is about drugs, then the US will have to confront Columbia and Mexico as well. Honestly, i think we should have already done something about that years ago. If these nations refuse to handle the illegal drug manufacturing within their borders then maybe we should handle it for them?

We are at war.
We are trying to cut off oil supply to China while they are trying to corner the market on silver and dump out debt and switch to a gold backed reserve currency.
We can't cut off oil to Iran so instead we are trying to cut off water to them either by Turkey shutting down water flowing into Iraq from Tigris and Euphrates or from that machine that can keep it from raining.
Meanwhile this long war in Ukraine is NATO's attempt to bleed Russia.
It is no coincidence that the same time China shuts down exports of silver to the west the US shuts off oil going from Venezuela to China.

First Tom Cotton said strikes on "drug boats" were entirely lawful and justified. In other words, he supports the use of military force rather than using law enforcement to stop boats and arrest people if they have drugs on board. Now he's saying Congress didn't need to be notified ahead of time of the attack because it was a law enforcement action. So apparently bombing drug boats doesn't involve law enforcement, but bombing Venezuela and capturing their president does involve law enforcement. These guys can't even get their stories straight.

I heard interviews and saw the people storm their capital after the election. I would think that their politicians might be the ones watching out for the farmers with pitchforks since they now have backing of the US president.
