Another feel-good piece that tries to make you feel like you are better than everybody else.

Which, ironically, is extremely trendy.

I don't follow trends because I'm somewhat bull-headed... don't like people telling me what to do....

I'm not sure that's a "rare trait".... more like a short-coming, in some ways....

I'll just tell my wife it's a rare trait, and she should be proud of me because of it...

I don’t know whether I’m a trendy or not. At my age it’s not important anyway.

Shoot...you're just a kid.... dye your hair pink...get a tribal tat somewhere semi embarrassing... be nonchalant baddie....

Maybe I’m gonna dye it blue and become the archetypal version of an American tourist causing scenes in the aisles for not getting the window seat she didn’t even pay for lol.

I just can care less about something trending. Something I will do often, is after the excitement is over, then take look at it. Then i am like, wow that is interesting. I avoid big crowds, large groups of people. People jumping up and down over something turns me away from it. Something about trends that I know, is a trend is a business opportunity. A short lived chance make some money. And I believe trends are engineered for that purpose. It's a program a business or even the government came up with to make some money.

The bible talks about such trends, those idols. Idol worship is used as a trend to sell, idols and things for the idols, such as incense or tea.

Maybe I’ll legally change it? I’m feeling more karenized every day now.
I didn’t understand the jokes about “Karen”, so I had to look it up and now I get what it’s all about. All jokes aside, I’ve only seen a few lines from you, but I’m pretty sure you’re not a stereotypical Karen. You seem like an honest, straight-to-the-point person.

Like I said, I’m definitely getting karenized day by day now lol.

Next thing I do is scolding the neighbors for not mowing their lawns correctly.😂

It’s not funny. One of my neighbors has a tendency to letting it grow like (nobody wants to know what I’m talking about) and attract attention from all the slithering snakes from all across the island!😂😩

Oops, and here I am digging my hole even deeper. 😂

No, you’re definitely not a Karen. I hope I’m not being rude by assuming things after just reading a few lines, but from what I’ve seen, you seem straight to the point, honest, independent, and someone who stands up for what you believe is right. Those are valuable traits and your friends are lucky to have you. Some people might mix these up with Karen behavior, but that’s a mistake.

Maybe I’m gonna dye it blue and become the archetypal version of an American tourist causing scenes in the aisles for not getting the window seat she didn’t even pay for lol.
This would be a real Karen, a selfish and demanding person. Even though you joke about it, I’m sure you would never act like that for real. I do not believe you are selfish in that way.

I can imagine the snake-infested lawn is stressful, especially with your grandchild visiting. Talking to your neighbors about it is just being responsible, not Karen behavior.

Agreed.
You gotta got there with a stern look on your face and then go ALL fire and brimstone on them!
"Shame on you for ruining the look of our million dollar neighborhood!"

I take it you don't live in an HOA controlled neighborhood?
I don't either... I would not....
Our city is pretty good about enforcing the relatively common-sense requirements, but nowhere NEAR like many of the nightmare HOA's that I've heard about...

I have heard stories about Code Enforcement in my area. Sometimes the back yard gets past the waste, before I take a push mower and knock it down. But this is not grass it's Spanish needles. The grass will get tall before I cut it. Have to cut it because of those snakes. We have rattle snakes here, and many different kinds.
