I'm just not excited enough about myself to think that the world needs more of me. I was okay for one round - not great, but not terrible - but do we REALLY need a repeat?

All of me is like a $70 motel room. It's nice enough for me, but I would recommend something better for my friends.

Oh I understand. It is indeed a perversion of what God meant for God. God has always challenged civilization to do better for their women and children but unfortunately with sin what was once legit issues of equality is now perverted to seeing the patriarchy or men in general as the problem. Liberal women call conservative women things like breeders, hosts of parasites, or out dated because they believe marriage suppresses the women into subjugation, pregnancy enslaved the women, children are nothing more than a hinderance that further leaves a carbon footprint, and of course that the Biblical model is outdated and at worse abusive towards women.

I just had our 10th. I have a few health issues that would make another pregnancy hard. So we use birth control because, yknow, God gave us the ability and resources to have some say in our family size.

I would say birth control is the main cause of declining birth rates.. it allowed second wave feminism to move even further using double speak like women's reproductive rights etc.,

We also must remember that birth control can act as an abortificient by hindering the embryo from implantation if fertilization has taken place.

Just think of how many babies have been aborted by birth control so that women could supposedly have freedom. :(

It is one thing the Catholic Church got right and they were indeed ridiculed for it.

Condoms don't kill.
Neither does the diaphragm.
I would not put much stock in a church that abuses boys and tells priests they are not allowed to get married. That's not Biblical.

With regards to the RC Church.. like those problems are not widespread within other churches.
Not that that is even remotely connected. :rolleyes:

If you mean specific kinds of birth control then be more specific. Otherwise it sounds like you're lumping all contraceptives together as if they all kill.

Obviously, the only one which can act as abortificient is the pill. :rolleyes:
 
The answer to this and most societal problems is the same: Jesus. Preach repentance and faith in Christ, and the Holy Spirit will change people’s desires and motivations. Some still won’t marry and have children, but many will.

No. There is also Plan B that keeps fertilized egg from implanting. A pill called Plan C that aborts up to 13 weeks. There's debate that an IUD acts as an abortificient.

Birth control pills are supposed to stop ovulation (apparently up to 99%) which means there is no conception happening. Women CAN still become pregnant on birth control and if they do, the pill doesn't terminate. At least, that's what a quick search says.

I still stand by being specific with what you mean when you say birth control kills. When having a debate, the details matter.

I was not debating.

None of this negates my initial general point, and a quick search means nothing.

And yes the IUD can act as an abortificient as well, along with the fact that there was a time when birth control of all kinds was seen as sinful by various sects/denominations.

If you really had some contention with my main point, it would be regarding the connection from the general acceptance of birth control (mostly "the pill" as it was widely called in the past decades) to the continued evolution of feminism beyond the suffragette movement.

But you did not. Moving on.
