It doesn't say Jesus OKed it or not. But I think it would be a great idea to have an 7-day observance to end on Christmas Eve. We could Christianize it with a 7-candle lampstand and teach something about the true temple of God every night as we light a lamp.

Well we'll have to wait and see what the Christmas haters think of that idea.

My husband and I are doing Hanukkah this year for the first time. I think it helps to connect us to our Old Testament....the roots of our faith. But, it's not required. Baptism isn't required either.
