Christmas and New year gifts

Hmm. Not sure how this works really, but that has never stopped me before. Here goes.

For cinder I wish for her to find the perfect toy that Iris will love to play with forever.

For Rod I wish for the perfect grill that will always cook meats exactly the way he wants.

For everybody I wish for a friend to call them up with a word of knowledge, something they could not possibly know about - just to remind us all that God is still paying attention and still in control. It can get hard to remember that sometimes.

Hi Edith! What a fun and awesome idea for a Christmas thread!

I'm not sure if this will be considered cheating, but I am the Gift Card Queen!! Everyone in my family is at a stage where they just want to pick out their own presents, so... It's Gift Cards For All!

Let's see what I can get away with here.

1. I would give our own lovely @Edith a gift card to her favorite hair salon, because I've been loving the different styles she rocks in her pictures.

2. I would give @CarriePie a gift card to a gourmet cooking supply store -- then promptly try to get myself invited over for dinner! (I'll happily wash dishes and clean up!)

3. I think @ThereRoseaLamb once said that she collected seasonal dish sets, so I would give her a gift card so she could hopefully score some deals on cute decor.

4. And how could we forget @NightTwister -- what else is there to get him but a gift card for a new coffee mak...

Wait! Hold up there.

I don't think I want to be known as an enabler, so maybe we'll just give him a gift card that says "FOR COFFEE ONLY" -- and not another coffee maker.

SOMEONE GET ME THIS WOMAN'S NUMBER -- IMMEDIATELY!

And since we're going on a Singles Forum Christmas Gift-Giving Spree...

(I'm trying to think of people who regularly show up in our "social" threads -- I'm very sorry if I overlook anyone -- it's not on purpose!!)

Other victims, er, people I'm thinking of include:

1. @Tall_Timbers -- I think he's mentioned meat as his favorite food group, so a gift card to a top-notch butcher shop seems like it might "make the cut."

2. @Cameron143 -- I'm not really sure about his preferences but I'm thinking a card to a favorite grocery store would always be welcome.

3. @lisatanner -- I'm sorry that I don't know what you'd like best, but how about a gift card for something you and your son would both enjoy?

4. @Tazzo -- Here would be my ONE BIG EXCEPTION to gift cards -- I would be gifting Tazzo a block of cheese (wait a minute, I wouldn't know which kind! I guess she'd be getting a gift card anyway.) But she would also be getting BUCKETS, of course. LOADS of buckets. STACKS of buckets. And, they would all be buckets I had obtained for free, of course!

5. For all the lovely married people who join in on the fun -- gift cards to a favorite restaurant for all the married couples so that they can have a "date night."

6. And for Lady @Magenta -- Why, a gift card for something purple, of course!!
