very recently, this is what occurred in our lives:
1. truck & trailer broke down on a hill, no one hurt, nothing hit, slight damage to trailer.
2. new mower needed & bought.
3. the devil really gearing it up in dreams.
4. extremely close to a near accident in a rotary.
5. truck body work needed on 1 of my work trucks.
6. new truck purchased to replace older one.
7. a bat in the garage.
8. a bee in the bathroom sink.
9. my wife choking horribly with no one around.
10. my wife's daughter falling & suffering a severe sprain. can not walk now.
11. all year, having to deal with massive rains while trying to complete landscape work. i comically say, " we have to work between the rain drops".
12. someone in the family with a recurring health issue.
13. back in February, i told my wife we need a new refrigerator because the current 1 is getting louder & making weird noises.
then, this Thursday, it started to lose power in maintaining a 36 degree temp. so i filled a bunch of coolers with ice & packed important food in. the rest of the food i took to 1 of our other houses & placed in the freezer. my wife ordered a new refrigerator. the company called my wife Thursday night & said they had a cancellation & could deliver the new refrigerator Friday morning at 8:00a.m. delivery was made, new refrigerator installed & working wonderfully!
14. plus other weird little things occurring.
15. Last year, we had to get her a new car, install a new shower upstairs, get a new central air system & a new washer-dryer unit.

Amidst it all, never before have i felt the presence of Jesus so much in these trials. He's right there suffering with us, reassuring us & abounding His loving blessings, compassion, grace, love & mercies. my wife & i are fortunate & thankful that we have abundant provisions in which we do not need assistance in expenditures. no one was physically or mentally hurt in all this. we maintained a Jesus like attitude without complaint! i wish for all on CC that if they have a devil attack in their lives that they recognize it & treat it as Jesus would. blessings to all of you, Karlon.

Karlton, that piece of Scripture is my absolute Life Verse! Here's my testimony Brother.

In 2002, my Father was diagnosed with Cancer and I fled from the loving arms of the Lord in fact, I rebuked Him. Fast forward 19 years (2021) living without Him in my life, and I had become a disgrace, a binging alcoholic living for the drink, eating poorly and sleeping very little. The devil surely had a great hold on my life!

August 21, 2021 literally almost 19 years to the day since I had rebuked Him, I started having seizures, and was diagnosed with a seizure disorder. Just like in Mark 1:25-26 it was like the Lord had said "Be Quiet! Come out of him, you cannot have him!" I have no clue what happened between my house and the hospital, but when I came to consciousness the first words out of my mouth were "I cannot do this alone, I need The Lord in my life." That following Sunday, I viewed a church service online (I was in no shape to physically attend) and James 1:2-4 was the topic of the sermon. When that piece of Scripture was read I openly wept as it was exactly what I needed to hear, the Holy Spirit came upon me and I was His! I studied The Word voraciously, and started attending that very same Church. I was baptized last Easter Sunday, (2024) and now serve in the church as an usher.

Two years ago my Mother was diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disorder, and it is the Strength of The Lord I lean on now, knowing that I cannot bear the load of being a primary caregiver myself. The Lord Jesus gives me the strength of body, mind, heart and soul to persevere through this season. Just like it says in James, the perseverance in this season has produced stronger faith, and I lack for no good thing. Despite not working full-time, I am still able to afford everything I need to in order to survive, including the life-saving medication I am now on.

I am so eternally grateful that when I knocked on the door the Lord answered and forgave me, and has surely provided for me.

Thank you for the kind words Karlon. What is a testimony if not honest? James is also my favorite book of the NT. No messing about, direct and honest words of advice to live by.
