Because all of our cloths comes from over countries, those countries can make us naked. They can force us to put on a certain type of clothing if they wanted.

This is an interesting subject for me.
I've studied some of the better natural cloth, military spec gear and clothing textiles. If I'm a little opinionated, that doesn't mean that I'm right about the future. God only knows and these things change. I can see why you expect that as I do too. Tariffs will change costs and maybe the markets.
The way China has outsourced their own people (slaves), that put many in Italy making what Italians had earned the reputation for. Made in Italy labels no longer mean, made by Italians with the same generational craftsmanship.

I remember when the Lord was willing and ready to give me a garment factory. In hindsight I should have received the industrial machines as His gift. I had so much on my plate and just broke up with a fiancee, that I did not make a rational decision about that part of the future plan.
It was a dream to start a cottage industry here for unique gear at the ground floor before any real competition was around.

I think there will continue to be typical low cost chinamart type clothes available because there's a market for them. There's cheap labor in many third world countries that will sell here. Gone are the days of making hand tailored low end clothing domestically. IMHO there's still a place for higher end suits and gowns made and tailored here. It's a totally different market than when I was going to start up years ago .

I hear they taste like chicken:)(y)
Locusts are often described as tasting somewhat like shrimp or seafood, with a mild, nutty, and slightly earthy flavor. More detailed descriptions compare their taste to a combination of:

  • Shrimp or prawns (due to their shellfish-like flavor and texture)
  • Chicken schnitzel
  • Roasted sunflower seeds
  • Mushrooms or root vegetables (earthy undertones)
  • Crunchy fried chips when cooked crispy

You can eat the locust, or grass hoppers. But you MUST prepare them correctly. You can never eat the legs or it will put you on operating table. Remove the legs, wings and head. Fry them up well in oil because of parasites and disease.

Be careful where you harvest them because they aquire the tributes of anything they eat. Toxic things will get in them like lead or mercury. Pesticides get in them too.

If you raise them up and feed them mint, they will take on the minty flavor. Same for other herbs.

I haven't tried it yet, but I know I have grasshoppers in the yard here. They eat them in Mexico during certain timing. They have a certain time of year everyone runs out and collects them.

You can make traps for them to get them.

That reminds, I have to cut grass .

Locusts are a tough sell here where the best beef in the world is raised:)(y)
Commodoreteach likens himself to Elijah, try him, after all John the Baptist was Elijah who is to come for those who can receive that. Besides Elijah was fed road kill from ravens, so anyone who can eat that can't be too picky.

No, you are confusing them with seagulls, and the didn't feed him hot dogs either, that would be pigeons.

I used to have a dog that loved the 17 year locusts. He ate them until he got a belly ache! I never got that hungry though. Mom and Dad fed me well.

So, I've only learned it through other bird-fanatics; but apparently you can "trade" with Corvids. From what I understand, if you prepare a treat for them and call them they can "befriend" you they will bring you "stuff"... shinies like paper clips, or even money!

So, while Ravens do scavenge for carrion for their own consumption; that does not necessarily reflect what they will bring to a human as a gift.
