Dear Shoshie,

I can empathize with your feelings.
There's a surprisingly simple solution for the spiritual problem. Perhaps there's a physical (nutritional) one too that needs examined.

Please listen carefully to the second video and illustrations to the school children. That might clarify the difference between grace and works, as well as salvation and discipleship

Jesus said to many things to those who were saved. Why ?
Because they were in the family.
Once you are in the family, there are rules and expectations.
Disobedience to the rules does not exclude someone from the family, but has more immediate consequences that are appropriate to the violation.
The Father never sends His children to Hell though. They lose privileges and blessings in this short life.

Pray first, asking the Lord those very good questions and expecting Him to answer. Then listen to the short 4 minute+/- video. Then proceed to the next with an open bible, pausing to look up the verses.

I will try to get back tomorrow after work and connect with you then. It's too late right now, but will pray for you and encourage you to read the gospel of John.

Every time you see the word "believe"(d, s, th tenses) please underline them.
When done with the first chapter, put the number of times believe is used at the top margin. Then do the same for the other chapters. Use the KJV because the other versions do not have as many. This will help you more than anyone probably thinks.

Peace to you ❤️

Has something been going on in your life lately ? Maybe u have had a disappointment ? Someone has let u down ? Things not going the way u had hoped ? It's easy for some of us to feel that when things aren't going our way , that it's our fault and that maybe God is punishing us for something ? We can start to think that we r not good enough for Him . Or we can feel that there's just no way we can live up to the Christian standards that we or our church or family have set for us ? Be comforted and know that God sees u and loves u just the way u r . All He wants from u is love . To truly love God and Jesus , u must get to know them on a personal level and we do this by reading the Bible , talking to God through the mediator ship of Jesus our High Priest in Heaven . Through Jesus we have access to God Himself , He heard us every day without exception . Take time to just b alone with God . Read your Bible even if only one verse , every day . Think about what u read . Learn to look back in your life and c God there , bringing u through all your past and into today , this very moment , He's been with u always and will b with u always , He's not going anywhere . B patient with yourself , it takes a bit of time and effort to build a bond with God , learn to c Him every day in every good thing He is there , for u and those around u , c Him in their lives and in your own , blessing and guiding and providing . Thank Him every day for all the good things in your life . Building any relationship takes time and a bit of effort , take the time , make the effort , it will b worth it I promise . Revelation ch3 verses 14-22 ❤️ .

Shoshie , I can c by your profile that u have been a Christian for a long time . Here is a tip that helps me to re invigorate my faith when I feel a bit disconnected from my God ( it happens to us all sometime ) .
Go back in your memory , sit quietly and think of all those times in the past when things went right for u , what u wanted to happen actually happened . What u hoped for but never really thought it would turn out like.....and it did ! All those times when u seemed to get everything that u needed just when u needed it . That was God's doing . No one else's , just God's doing . He did that for u . He is real , alive , in control and He loves u and wants u close to Him . He won't leave u .
We humans can have a tendancy to dwell on the negative things in our past and we can easily forget when things went well because when things r going well we don't feel stressed or miserable etc . We remember sad times , bad things but , even if u do remember the sad and bad times in your past u must also remember that....u got through them and how ? Because God got u through them that's how . He is working in the lives of His children all day every day and He never stops . Even when we r not thinking of Him , He is in the room with us . U r going through a tough patch for some reason ,maybe there's something u need to fix ? B patient and stick with your God , He will plant your feet in a garden soon ❤️

God will never leave you. Thank God feelings are not always correct with GOD. If you say your desire to serve him has gone, that is the issue. Why do you say your desire to serve God is gone? Guard your heart. Repent and pray, and return that simple :)

There is this hymn. "I know your still working, even though I don't feel it." "You never quit working, you never quit working, you never quit working."

KJV Hebrews 13:5-6

{13:5} [Letyour] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be]
content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will
never leave thee, nor forsake thee. {13:6} So that we may
boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what
man shall do unto me.

Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Trials and Temptations (James 1:2-4)
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

God's love for you is everlasting. We often have to walk by faith alone. That's a test and trial. "We walk by faith not sight."
The Devil's first encounter with humans was to convince them that God doesn't love them forever. Your experiencing a spiritual attack of the enemy possibly. Or your doubting your faith and belief ....Which either way can be easily thwarted by having faith in Jesus. I'd pray for it. Say Jesus I need you and want you back in my life.

Here's a prayer we all said at baptism or in church. Apostles Creed for Catholics or Sinner's Prayer for Christians. All evangelists offer this prayer at end of service to newcomers

"Heavenly Father. I've been broken by sin. I repent for my sin. I turn from my sin and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ suffered, died on the cross, and was resurrected to pay the debt for my sin. I confess with my heart and my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I will follow him now and forever. I want Him in my life now. In Jesus' name. Amen."

As usual, lots of really good advice here. Shoshie, I want to encourage you to take this advice and approach this as if YOU have been away for a long, long time. But also understand if you've been born again, then you already belong to the One True Living God. There is nothing that can separate you from the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Also, take a closer look at this verse. "Do not quench the Spirit"
— 1 Thessalonians 5:19

It's short but very crucial in what many Christians go through all over the world. It implies that believers can hinder the Spirit's influence by ignoring His promptings and indulging in sinful behavior. I'm certainly not saying you're being sinful. But it can enter our lives in the most deceptive of ways. Especially loving something or someone more than God Himself. Something as simple as disregarding the Spirit's prompting in our hearts can cause weakness in the relationship and lead to openings for the enemy.

"The Bible also speaks of spiritual hunger and thirst, which is a desire for God and His righteousness. Jesus said, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied" (Matthew 5:6). This verse suggests that neglecting our spiritual needs can lead to a lack of satisfaction and a weakened relationship with God." Saw this just now in an article too so wanted to share this quote

We have to actively pursue the Lord and seek Him, even more, when we don't feel His presence. He sees you, He knows you, and He loves you. Remember the phrase..."Come to Me.."?

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith"
— 2 Timothy 4:7

I encourage you to fight for your relationship. Read your Bible, get involved in the church, Bible studies and prayer groups. And be careful to pay attention to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and do not starve Him. This is advice for myself as well. We must all be careful and not ourselves open for attack from the enemy.

"Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."
— 1 Peter 5:8

"You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world."
— 1 John 4:4

I will keep you in my prayers today Shoshie. God bless you

This is our very first Scripture in Church today. Just wanted to share this with you, Shoshie....

"Remember my affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and bitterness.
Surely my soul remembers
And is bowed down within me.
This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope.
The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I have hope in Him.”
The LORD is good to those who wait for Him,
To the person who seeks Him."
— Lamentations 3:19-25

"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you."
— John 14:16-18

"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful."
— John 14:27
