Let Me Tell You About Daniel…
Daniel was one of those people who always had a plan. You know the type: focused, organized, five-year goals in a journal, everything mapped out, he had one goal after graduating: land a bank job. He applied everywhere, attended seminars, even paid for extra Excel training.
Then his closest friend, who had been way less serious during school, landed a bank job almost effortlessly. Daniel was happy for him, but confused. He started wondering, “God, did You skip me?”
Out of frustration, he almost settled for a job he didn’t even like just so he could say, “I’m working too,” but something held him back. He said, “There’s no peace in it. I feel like I’d be forcing this.”
Months later, through a friend's connection he hadn’t even followed up on, he got a call. A multinational firm was hiring, and he applied, trusting God for help.
Long story short: he got the job. Today, he’s building a career in a space he loves, with room to grow not just survive.
He told me recently, “If I had jumped into what came first and fast, I would have missed what came right.”
That sentence stayed with me.

Hey Sis/Bro! Have you ever prayed for something and felt like heaven went quiet? You wait, days pass, then weeks, maybe months, still, no answer.
You know, in a world obsessed with speed, deadlines, and instant answers, we often grow impatient with divine silence. We often want a quick fix, but God wants lasting fruit. We want convenience, God wants transformation, and so, He waits and asks us to wait with Him.
We pray, we wait, and sometimes we wonder if God has forgotten us, but heaven’s clock doesn’t tick like ours; God is never late and He is never early, He moves in perfect harmony with His purpose and our good.
The beauty of this is that when His answer comes, it doesn’t just show up at the right time, it shows up perfectly, full of meaning, laced with peace, and seasoned with purpose. It becomes clear: God wasn’t being slow; He was being precise.
Delays are not denials my dear, they are divine pauses meant to prepare us for what we’ve prayed for or something even greater. When the answer finally comes, it arrives not only on time, but with meaning, depth, and a peace that reminds us: God knew all along.
So if you're in a waiting season today, i.e whatever it is you might be waiting on the Lord for, take heart, trust God's process, rest in His wisdom, and surrender the urge to run ahead; the One who authors time is also the One writing your story.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time…” – Ecclesiastes 3:11a (NIV)
God bless you.
