I don't understand why you don't get it

What happens when we get baptized in JESUS name?
What happens when we get baptised in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit which Jesus commanded in Matthew, his words not mine.

Further more if you forgot to confess a sin(s) then you are not getting into heaven are you?

Is this a question?

IF YOU DON'T GET BAPTZED IN JESUS NAME YOU WILL NOT GET RID OF YOUR SINS.

SINCE WE SIN DAILY WE NEED TO CONFESS THEM TO HIM TO GET RID OF THOSE AFTER BEING REBORN.

SIN WILL NOT ENTER HEAVEN.

I THOUGHT ALL OF THAT WAS VERY CLEAR SO WHY THE QUESTION???

Did you get baptized in THE NAME OF the father the son and the Holy Ghost as it says?

Because it is contextual to chapter three.

FYI, No one wrote the letters in the Bible with chapters and verses or in King James English. That was all added.

That is why it is essential to read before and after a verse, sentence, chapter, and book so that you can understand the author's intent.

  • Who was he writing to?
  • What time frame was it written in
  • how did they apply it, then
  • and how do we apply it today
Chapter 15 pertains primarily to the resurrection. And the chapter does make a reference to baptism revealing it was part of the gospel message.
Paul questioned why people who said they didn't believe in the resurrection were getting water baptized for those who did not get baptized prior to death.

and so have I, and you will not respond to the hard questions out of fear of being banned :)
Again, your opinion. I point people to the word of God. It's up to them whether they accept or reject what is actually written.

And, I have to say it's mind boggling that once presented with the truth that there isn't an immediate response from those who profess to follow Jesus. People have no problem evoking the name of Jesus in all ways expressed in the word EXCEPT when it comes to water baptism. Hummmm. What's up with that?

The Book of Psalms declares what was coming:
"For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts." Psalm 141:2

Jesus is His name.

Chapter 15?

"As already noted, baptism is not a requirement for salvation in the first place ( Ephesians 2:8; Romans 3:28; 4:3; 6:3–4). "

1 Corinthians 15 is a challenging chapter to interpret. Yet, with other scriptures, we can see Paul is not saying proxy water baptism will save those who are dead. The chapter is about the resurrection of Christ and the saints.

Paul may have been addressing a pagan practice. Or there are other interpretations many have proposed.

I am not going to try and tell you or anyone what I think, but I will stay with the context of the chapter and speak on the Resurrection of the believer. And the eyewitnesses who saw Jesus after he was resurrected.

Hey, I will remember that when you start a thread. LOL, trying to end my. Thanks a lot, LOL.

I agree the point was made, and the chips fall where they may. Baptism in Jesus' name only is a Biblical error.

It does to you.
You have no issues telling everyone your opinion.
so are you going to answer the question?
This is NOT about me, I keep my opinion out of it. I DIDN'T DIE FOR YOU, this is HIS word.

You did say you were baptized "IN THE NAME OF"

Do you know what GOD'S name is?

His disciples did, we can tell because how did they baptize?

Is his name father? Son? Or Holy Ghost?

I like letting his word do the talking.

Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

John 1:1 plus 10-12
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days ((( I will raise it up.)))

Look here, JESUS speaking to Nicodemus. JESUS is ON the earth and he is also in Heaven!!
John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

He said he was baptized.

Do you? Does God know you? I'm tired of playing the name game with modern-day Pharieeses.

Matthew 23 in the NLT is a good Chapter for you because it speaks of those like you. Good application for you.
