Pastor Chuck Swindoll has a quote that I've found helpful to remember during difficult times in life. Perhaps you will find it helpful too :)

"Two words will help you cope when you run low on hope: accept and trust" (Proverbs 3:5-6)
God bless you!! (Numbers 6:24-26)

~Deuteronomy (David)

What's residential care?! I don't think we have that in my country
Here we have group homes and residential care facilities that provide care for those who can not care for themselves. They provide care that family members can't provide.

I know everyone wants to live their own lives. Jesus served others, and as his servants, it is good for us to prioritise others first. I see it as God saved us from something, not that your life hasn't started yet, but he's getting you ready for something. The devil thinks he can wrong you "But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good" He's working patience in you, you would not had have otherwise. Christians, as we age, tend to be happy thinking about heaven, our family and our heavenly father. The fact that she isn't. means she is not currently a Christian and still needs to repent so playing the bible audio in the background might remind her of this fact. It's still essential to practice self-care, such as reading, getting some exercise in, and taking a break if things become too stressful. Also contacting you doctor for antidepressants for your mother will ease alot of the aggression you mother is experiencing. They still tend to be stubborn at times but it's much better with medicine. We will be praying for you God Bless.

Ashaimunique,

Have you tried playing Bible audio in the house? Perhaps it would calm her.
Yes I have. Countless times. It hasn't worked yet. She says she knows already. The thing is she does preach the Gospel, but I'm 100% sure she doesn't believe. She knows theology, she's been preaching, but in next town, for years, so she knows but when I play Bible audio she switches it off. The things she does, she's been doing this since I was 3..maybe even longer but I only have memories from 3 years old. She knows about Christ, preaches Christ, but she doesn't believe in Christ.

Thank you 🙏. I appreciate it. She does preach repentance. She is a preacher, in the other town, not our home town. She preaches Christ. It's the evil things she does, the same evil she's been doing since I was 3 is still the same stuff she does. When I was 8 I took rat poison so I could die because I was tired of the beatings. Someone angers her at the store and I had to take the beating. This went on till I was 19 I left at 20..came back when Covid hit.So basically the Gospel has never made any impact in her life. So that alone means it's possible to know about Christ, preach Christ and still Not Believe in Him. That's why all these years I keep praying she believes what she preaches.

Precious friend, yes, that's the simplest way, continue loving them, and then
leaving it In The Lord's Hands, as:

each of us will only 'give an account' (1 Corinthians 3:8-15 AV) of our own selves...

Amen.

I'm sorry to hear of her abuse.
Most pastors are close, but unfortunately aren't completely accurate when it comes to the Gospel.

Here's < some good news.
