Hey Everyone!

Thanks to all the helpful insider information straight from the menfolk, we ladies are now all experts in trapping men!

The guys have been very kind in letting us know what they'd love to trapped by (sports channels, fancy cars, tools free man caves, Fruit Loops,) so it only seems fair to discuss what we ladies would find irresistible. ;)

As mentioned, the whole idea for this thread came from reading a conversation about what men thought would be good bait for women, and two of the cutest ideas the guys came up with were kittens and shoes. That's a great start, but surely we women have more to say about this!!

Once again, safety is a big priority (nobody wants to see any harm come to the prey, after all!), so...

1. What are some ideas for ethical, humane women traps that even an organization like PETA would approve of?

I'm thinking of things like She Sheds:

After all, the only thing that might get hurt here is the man's pride!

@Lynx had mentioned that the best traps are the ones in which the victim doesn't even realize he/she is trapped until days, weeks, or months have passed -- and that would definitely happen if someone tried to lure me here:

1749560949817.jpeg

Forget a trap -- this could very easily be my new home (especially if had fast, reliable WiFi!)

How about the everyone else? What places or events do you think would be great for lassoing the ladies?

1749561114289.jpeg

How about concerts, tea houses, malls, flower shops, shoe stores, art galleries, the ballet, etc.?!

2. And finally, the fun part!! What kinds of bait do you think will work best for Weaving a Whimsical Web that will Fascinate Females?

I thought the men's suggestions of shoes and kittens in the article I read were adorable!

But what other things would you ladies find hard to pass by?

And for all the men who are out of ideas, just think of how handy a coupon like THIS would be! (The trick is, you have to MEAN it -- AND deliver on the goods!)

1749562123034.png

I have to admit, I would a VERY HARD TIME passing up the classics, such as:

1749561588688.jpeg

I mean...

A large box of chocolate?! Especially if it were set up in a library or bookstore?

1749561650009.jpeg

It would be a done deal, and I would be a goner!

Ok, ladies!

The men have generously told us what they want to be trapped with.

Now it's time for us to return the favor! Along with all those brave men out there who are willing to tell us THEIR best ideas -- whether hypothetical or tried and true -- for Wrangling Women!:geek::giggle:

What are YOUR best ideas? :D

That picture labeled 20 practical gifts, I have seen almost all of those sold at the auction house. Most of them come around about once a month, like that collapsible cart.

I don't know much about trapping anymore, darn critters set the traps off and grab the bait. So me thinks id be better off going caveman style. Bonk you on the noggin and drag you back to the cave for dinner and conversation. Although I probably wouldn't say much outside of " unga bunga" . Everything else seems to fail....maybe I should give this a try 🤔

For some reason, as a woman, part of me wants to protest this.

But as long as you make the club pretty... I'm thinking some women might not protest this.

That's a tough one since I'm practically a hermit and am already married.

If I was single and developed a hankering for a particular female, I think I'd go straight to her house, and knock. When she answers the door and sees I'm carrying a large commercial grade chainsaw she's probably gonna get a little nervous real quick, so without wasting time I'd tell her I've been cutting down trees for a log home, have a little spare time, and would she mind if I cut down the tree that looked like a strong wind could blow it right into her house, especially since the tree was leaning in the direction of the house.

After that job is done and I've split the wood to sell or use in a fire place or fire circle, I'd thank her for letting me turn that tree into firewood, and since she's done me such a fine favor, could I take her out to dinner that evening.

I'm figuring that about the time the Maitre D' comes around with the desert cart, the lady will be captured.

I would love to see how this plays out for a fella who falls in love with a woman in, say, New York City!

And car insurance, according to Geico.
Using car insurance as bait might be a viable strategy.

Nothing says, "I'm a man who's responsible AND prepared" like car insurance!

I was in a situation a few months ago where I had to have my car towed because of a flat tire. Fortunately, I had roadside assistance included in my insurance (the fee for that part of the policy was a whopping $10.)

I told my parents it was the best $10 I ever spent in my life, as the tow (and tire repairs) were free.

So I would most definitely be impressed by a guy who used car insurance as bait -- ESPECIALLY if it included 24/7 emergency assistance!!:cool::geek:

You should still learn to change a tire. You would have been on your way in 20 minutes.

One of my life goals is to never go to New York City. So far I've met that goal, The state of New York is absolutely beautiful (outside of the cities).

My car was one that didn't come with a spare, so I don't have one (but should put in on my shopping list.)

Sorry to explain the whole story... I came home from church one Sunday afternoon, then went out to a discover a flat tire early Monday morning. I live at a place with assigned parking, and the two people on each side of me are notorious for parking very close to my vehicle (both were still there.) I'm 99.9% sure one of them nicked my car pretty good on another day but OF COURSE the cameras didn't pick it up and I had no proof -- just my luck. Anyways...

Even if I'd had a spare, it was too flat to move without damaging the wheel, and I wouldn't have been able to work on it until the person on that side moved. Not knowing them, I would have had to wait until later in the morning to have the apartment manager contact the owner. I was able to get it towed and to the tire shop before the apartment office even opened.

Fortunately, it all worked out (praise God!) but you are most definitely 110% right -- having a spare tire -- and learning how to change it is a necessary life skill.

And thank you @Lynx for continuously pestering me to get a portable tire inflator. I always put it on my, "Eh, I'll get it later," list, but not anymore!

An Amazon Stork is suppose to deliver one on Monday.

A man with a chainsaw and a beard?! I wouldn't even be thinking about a dessert cart lol

Sheesh.

I wish all it took for ME to stop thinking about the dessert cart was a chainsaw. :sneaky:

Although...

I would probably be preoccupied thinking about what kinds of desserts would be big and hearty enough to CUT with a chainsaw... and how I could get my hands on them.

Changing the tire is easy, while getting the spare tires from under a truck is entirely another matter altogether. I once spent half a day under a truck until the spare was free to work with. Houston over how far is AAA out? over 1 hour, No problem, over👌

Admittedly, for me personally, it's mostly the beard lol.
That top chainsaw cake looks delectable though!

Nope, never doing that again. Houston over how far is AAA out? over 1 hour, No problem, over I will be here👌
Goodness gracious!!

Many kudos to you, Daisy, for wrestling with that spare!! I'm looking up prices right now to buy one for myself (that will remain LOOSE in my trunk!) along with a tool and tire patch kit.

Does your insurance include roadside assistance or can you add it on?

I just mention it because I used to have my regular car insurance and AAA as well, and I was just using Triple A for the roadside assistance and a few travel discounts.

It got to the point where the membership wasn't paying off for me anymore -- especially when I found out that adding 24/7 roadside to my already existing car insurance policy was only $10 -- and my experience with their service was top-notch.

(I have Safeco in case this would help anyone.) :)
