Would like to invite your take on what counterweight if any God has helped you with in dealing with today's non-stop mountain of learning? I don't think that is too unrealistic. The Apostle himself needed a 'thorn in the flesh' to keep him in check and said what to expect,
Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. (1 Cor 8:1)
But what about us? While God had to raise the bar for Paul for all that revelation knowledge, is the ''baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire'' sufficient? Remember how much we are told to accumilate, ,
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing each other in all wisdom, singing, , '' (Col 3:16)
''All wisdom''? Sounds pretty exhaustive to me! Still not convinced of a danger of being puffed up just because he said to go for it - twice? Then you won't be able to join in on my second invite, how would you spot someone who isn't in check with his otherwise vast knowledge?
Give God the glory, always!
