The gospel - the most important message for humankind - the message God has for each one of us. It is GOOD NEWS! The message that threads its way through the entirely of God’s Word.

In the beginning God and Adam & Eve had fellowship in a world untainted by sin. However, Adam & Eve sinned and were SEPARATED from God who is holy. This is the PROBLEM. The ultimate question becomes: How can we now be RECONCILED back to God? At this point, God promises that a Deliverer will come through the descendants of Eve.

Through the course of the Old Testament countless numbers of animals were sacrificed in place of guilty sinners. However, they could not remove sin. They simply pointed forward to the One who could and would.

Finally the Deliverer came, “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)

“I declare to you the gospel…Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Cor. 15:3-4)

Indeed, on the altar of the cross, Jesus died as our substitute. Our sins were placed upon Him. He endured the wrath of God for them, in our place.

So, now what? Is everybody automatically saved?

It is written, “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36)

“I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore CHOOSE life.” (Deut. 30:19)

Neither does God speak ambiguously, “Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Cor. 6:9-10)

Do we earn salvation? No, for it is written, “We are ALL like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags.” (Is. 64:6)

Is it a journey or process? No. For we read, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.” (Eph. 1:13)

In truth, the moment we believe the gospel - placing our faith in Jesus alone for eternal life - we are saved in a moment. It is not a process of becoming more like Jesus.

Sadly, many have invented their own gospel. Many have convinced themselves that God being love, would never condemn people to the Lake of Fire. Yet, we read, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide isthe gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.” (Mat. 7:13) Again, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I NEVER knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” (Mat. 7:22-23)

Therefore, I urge you to have a change of mind and trust Jesus alone to save you today!

“Come to Me, ALL you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Mat 11:28)

“The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. The one who rejects the Son will not see life, but God's wrath remains on him.” (John 3:36 NET)

For those who trust Jesus for eternal life, receive in exchange for their sin, the very righteousness of Jesus Christ! These are reconciled to God.

“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.” (1John 5:13)

And eternal life is just that - eternal - not temporary.

Where do you stand, my friend? Have you ever admitted that you were a hell bound sinner? Have you ever placed your trust in Jesus for eternal life, trusting in His finished cross work for you personally?

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Cor. 6:2)

John 17 verse 2-3~ You granted Him authority over all people, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him. Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom You have sent. :)
