Struggling and in desperate need .

Hello everyone . I'm asking for prayers for my cousin Carl . He is struggling . His wife left him a few months ago taking their granddaughter who they were raising , with her . Carl is not perfect but neither is his wife for sure . They both drank too much alcohol and took cocaine and marijuana together , though they were not unfaithful to each other . Carl's wife also regularly used violence against him and he never retaliated . Maybe it's better that they r apart for a while . Carl knows he has to stop drinking and taking drugs , he has stopped the drugs but has been told that he cannot stop drinking immediately because he is alcohol dependant and to stop suddenly and completely might cause him to die , so he has to slowly reduce his alcohol intake which he is doing . Hes so thin . When he was a kid , 9 years old , he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease , which is a type of cancer . His mum and dad were told that he only had 6-9 months to live as he was literally full of cancer . I saw the X rays , I saw him full of cancer from his groin to his neck . At the time his family were involved with the mormons ( they haven't been for a very long time now ) and the mormon elders held prayer meetings for Carl . I firmly believe that a miracle occured because Carl is now 53 and has been cancer free for over 40 years . Whatever u may or may not think of the mormons , it really does seem as if their prayers for Carl worked . The doctors have never been able to offer any kind of explanation for the fact that Carl was full of cancer and then...he was not . Just like that . So , I know the power of prayer , God hears His children . Carl needs our prayers again . All of his family and friends r associated with alcohol , not necessarily alcoholics but they love to socialize together and there will b booze . Carl is a Christian but he needs some serious encouragement and support which his extended family r trying to give him but he needs God's blessing and mercy upon him . Please , if u can mention Carl in your prayers , please ask God to continue to strengthen and support Carl and bring him through all his trials and tribulations and to set him in a good pasture .
