It my pleasure nay my privilege to join Christian Chat!

I have been looking for a community online of fellow Christians, and this place seems a right fit.

Some details about myself, I am Born Again and Baptized, I attended Seminary and in process of continuing that vocation.
I am Protestant, though I have studied Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy extensively, including Bishop Kallisto Ware's The Orthodox Church. I know extensively where the doctrines of those churches are at variance with Sacred Scripture, and would love to discuss it respectfully if you wish.

I believe The Five Solas: Saved By Grace Alone (Sola Gratia, Acts 15:8-11) By Faith Alone (Sola Fide, Philippians 3:9) through Christ Alone (John 14:6, John 3:16-18) according to the Scriptures Alone (Sola Scriptura, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21) and to The Glory of God Alone (Soli Del Gloria).
Simply I believe we are saved by the Grace (unmerited favor) of God through Christ and by Faith in Him, not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 2:21). The First Council in Jerusalem in Acts, Chapter Fifteen, agreed this is salvation, that the law does not save, Paul and Peter were there with James. In fact Jesus is the end of the law, "For Christ is the end of the law, to bring righteousness to everyone who believes." (Romans 10:4).
The Law's purpose was to show us we need to be saved, but Jesus is the Savior, and the Law was merely a foreshadowing, but Jesus caste the shadow (Colossians 2:17).

There is much more to tell, you can find the descriptions of my other beliefs in About Me. :)
