Hello everyone,
My name is Craig, and I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. Faith has been a lifelong struggle for me, but I have always respected and supported my children's Christian beliefs.

For most of my life, I battled alcoholism, but by the grace of God, I have been sober since November 17, 2019. Sobriety has brought many positive changes, yet my soul still seeks healing and love. Past struggles have left me with wounds of trust and doubt, but I am taking steps to open my heart and learn the teachings of Christ.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be here, to listen, learn, and grow in faith. I look forward to connecting with you all and being part of this journey together.

Blessings,
Craig

Welcome, Craig.

The prophet Isaiah prophesied the following in relation to Jesus Christ.

Isa 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Isa 61:3
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

I mention this because Jesus has long been in the business of healing the types of wounds that you described. Maybe we can talk more about the same sometime.

I am heading out the door in a minute, but I just wanted to pause to welcome and, hopefully, encourage you.

Have a blessed day.

Welcome, Craig.

As God's own possessions, our wounds can elicit gentleness and our limitations will stir compassion. Mercy will always triumph over judgement.

Your children are in good hands, time for you to join them.

Always a pleasure to "see a picture image" of those who are new
or have been here. A pic. profile on this kind of platform seems appropriate
and more meaningful, though most appear reluctant to do so.

Congratulations on your sobriety! I can relate. You are welcome to
check out the thread CRA.
