While I have been part of my local Lutheran Church pretty much my whole life, I have only recently started to truly believe in God, or maybe a better phrasing would be that I finally opened up my heart for Him? It just kind of clicked for me one night.

I still have a lot to figure out, and have been (for the first time) turning to The Bible for guidance. It's been really inspiring, though I worry that God will have already lost His patience with me. It did take me 20 years to find Him, and during those 20 years I managed to do a lot against His wishes...

I have a lot of questions, and not many people to turn to for answers in my day to day life, so I came here, hopefully we can have some insightful discussions!

Welcome, marmalade, and, no, God has not lost his patience with you.

Mat 18:23
Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
Mat 18:24
And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
Mat 18:25
But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
Mat 18:26
The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
Mat 18:27
Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

When this servant who owed the king ten thousand talents asked him to have patience with him that he might pay him all that he owed, the Lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and he loosed him, and forgave him the debt. So will the Lord do with you.

God bless you.
