During the end of the Clinton years I remember Republicans throwing an absolute fit because of his affair with Monica Lewinsky. The voices in the church at the time made it very clear that because of his poor character, he should no longer be president.

I may disagree with you on many things, but I know you're not dumb and I know you know that If a group of people disqualifies a leader for something but does not disqualify another leader for that same something there's something cultish going on.

When we see intelligent people like you fall for such a faulty logical fallacy it lends even more Credence to the idea that you're in a cult.
The Christians had nothing to do with deciding who the two candidates were. They are then given a choice, you have two candidates to vote for. You are not selecting a pastor. We are not required by the Lord to vote, but we are required to pray. However, as citizens you have the right to vote. So it is hypocritical to judge Christians for who they voted for. As a Christian they prayed for the country and as a US citizen they voted for who they thought would be the better leader.

That's not what I meant. What I mean is are you willing to admit that Trump could be harmful for our country instead of helpful?

And you know it doesn't constitute an insurrection. It was the totality of events. I could attempt to explain my view but all you're going to do is tell me how it's wrong, but the thing is I already know you think it's wrong and I'm not interested in convincing you that it's right. So what is the point?
Anyone can do things detrimental to the country. What things did Trump do that you believe were detrimental to the citizens of this nation during his first term? Also, over the last 4 years, has anything been done detrimental to the American people?

Trump's fake electric scheme was a attempted coup d'etat.

Even if you don't believe that. You can at least understand that if I believed that that he indeed would be detrimental to the country and its citizens.

If the shoe was on the other foot and Harris enacted a fake electric scheme and attempted a coup d'etat you would say that she had a negative impact on the country and its citizens whose votes she tried to steal.

What I'm trying to tell you is we'll never come to an agreement but both of us can understand each other's position. If you want to continue to talk about this so we can understand each other's position better by asking questions and having a conversation that's fine.

But if you're interested in arguing with me and telling me that I'm wrong and you're right, then I'm not interested in that and you can have a nice weekend

By electric scheme you mean election scheme? If so, what do you understand his scheme to have been?

You accused me of falling for a logical fallacy, what was the logical fallacy? You also accused me of lending credence to the idea that anyone who voted for Trump was behaving in a cult like way.

I have no problem with impeaching a president if there is reason to believe they are guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors. I also have no problem with criminal investigations whether it is of Trump, Bannon or Liz Cheney. Let a court of law and a jury decide. Ultimately the Lord is the judge of all as Ananias and Caiphas discovered. If you use your position or power in an abusive way you will have to answer to God.

I see no logical fallacy in agreeing with the above paragraph while also having to choose between two very flawed candidates.

What I do see as being completely hypocritical would be a Christian, saved by grace, behaving in a way that is arrogant and holier than thou, condemning others for sins and holding unbelievers to an absurd standard of being sinless. Anyone who falls for this logic opens themselves up to scammers and others who will defraud them.

Lol you realize that the democrat cult literally threw the primary vote in the garbage and nominated Kamala, right? They literally did that right in front of everyone's face.

Then you of course have how the vote is somehow lower in this election compared to the 2020 election when a pandemic was happening and it took them 3 days to "count" the remaining .3% of the vote and change the results past all mathematical possibility literalyl in front of people's faces and they seriously thought no one would stand up to them and protest against them. Then you have all the lies about J6 where there was violence for sure, but the violence was done to the protestors, not the other way around.

I thought they were defending democracy.

It shows that this argument about rejecting Trump because of a supposed insurrection is baloney, they could care less about democracy.

They looked the other way when it was very obvious that Joe Biden was not mentally fit for office. They justified a bogus ruling from the Supreme court in Roe V. Wade until the Supreme court could no longer deny that the ruling was a complete lie. They accuse anyone who doesn't agree with them of being in a cult, of being deplorable, garbage, Nazis, etc. They defended the brazen lie that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation. They attack someone for voting for Trump when it was clear that Biden had cocaine in the residential part of the Whitehouse and yet no investigation? They are full of baloney. And they have the chutzpah to give advice to Christians on who they should vote for and who they cannot vote for. Why would anyone who truly believes that Jesus is Lord listen to these ones?

Yea they rely on fooling the people, but they can't fool everyone and they can't fool God. Then you have the whole dynamic on how they were instantly cursed from on High the moment they usurped power and everything they touched was cursed to the utmost. Let's not forget too quickly how close to the brink of destruction they brought us. Trump is just a tool, he's really a last resort, though they hate him he's their last chance too, if he can't fix their mess for them, consider the national divorce theory cause that's obviously where this is heading.

We all saw the footage. The protesters had a gallows set up outside the Capitol and they were chanting for Nancy pelosi and Mike pence.

See the thing is is that we all saw it on TV. It's indisputable that Trump supporters stormed the capital and attempted to kidnap elected officials and have them killed.

You may disagree with the fact that these things happened. But all I'm saying is if you believed that the Democrats stormed the capital and attempted to kill elected officials then you would be saying the Democrats are a cult as well.

That's about the best we can do here we're not going to agree on the issues you believe what you believe and I believe what I believe so I'm going to ask you this

Can you admit once and for all that if you believed what I believe that you would come to the same conclusions I did? I'm not saying you have to agree with me. I'm just saying that it's important to see my perspective.

Just like I see your perspective. If I believed that the election was stolen then violence would be a perfectly reasonable option.

I saw Star Wars on TV too does that mean Darth Vader is running around in a galaxy far far away?

The Capitol is public property and the Capitol was open to the public, how can you storm public property? What's next we gonna start hunting down people for going to the park just because they won't believe your cult?

Then you're completely ignoring the fact that the violence was done to the protestors. The protestors are the ones that got murdered, the protestors are the ones that got tear gassed. Not the other way around. Not believing your lies and protesting is not actually violence, shooting people with guns and tear gas is the actual violence.

No way I'll believe what you believe because you believe in a lie.

Do you know who constructed the gallows? Have those people been identified? Do you know who planted the pipe bombs at the DNC headquarters? Do you know who was responsible for having National Guard troops at the Capitol? Do you not find it odd that the people who built gallows and planted bombs remain unknown, but every person who went into the Capitol building are known? Are you not the least bit suspicious that the mayor of DC and the Speaker of the House refused additional troops to guard the Capitol?
I do understand why you believe as you do. I'm wondering why you aren't open to alternate explanations given all the information available.

The gallows doesn't even mean anything, that's all theatrics. Who knows if a bomb even really was planted or if that's just another lie they made up about J6. All that stuff is fluff that means nothing because at the end of the day the actual violence was done to the protestors not the other way around. At the end of the day the Capitol is public property and it was certainly open to the public on J6. That's why the cult members that had their eyes beguiled by the TV can't ever even touch the subject or comment on it because it starts to make them have to question their cult and how they let themselves get tricked and lied to.

Both are true. There is tape of Metro PD dropping off the person who planted the bombs and picking him up. Those who put up the gallows were probably FBI sources. The whole thing wreaks of a setup.

I'm not talking about truth. I'm talking about perspective.

My perspective is A. Your perspective is B however if you had my perspective you would arrive at the same conclusions I did just like if I had your perspective I would arrive at the same conclusions you did.

You believe what you believe and I cannot change your belief.

I believe what I believe and I cannot change what I believe.

We can share what we believe to better understand each other.

And that's it because there's no point in arguing or debating because I'm not going to change you, you're not going to change me and it's going to be a complete waste of time.

Have a merry Christmas 🎄
