Sarah Young, in her Book Jesus Always, wrote "When an angle announced My birth to shepherds living out in the fields near Bethlehem, he told them: Do not be afraid, I bring you good news of great joy. (Luke 2:8-10) The instruction to not be afraid is repeated in the Bible more than any other command."

I'm sure she had reason to make this statement, and it may well be true. I would have thought that the command to "believe," or "repent" would have been most repeated.

Even so, it is true that when angels from God speak they always want to be sure we are not afraid of them. I know there are numerous Scriptures telling us to "not fear."
