At the Reformation the Western Church became divided between those who continued to accept Papal authority and the various Protestant churches that did not. The Church of England was among the churches that broke with Rome. The catalyst for this decision was the refusal of the Pope to annul the marriage of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon.

Interesting they split for separate biblical and sinful stances on divorce/adultery now divorce is allowed.

is it the scarlet beast or one the others?

I don't understand your question. Did you accidentally leave a word (or more) out of it? Could you please rephrase it so that I might know what you are asking? Thank you.

The law of the Spirit of life takes us to a whole new standard regarding sin and adultry; as seen when Jesus tells us in Mt 5: 27-28: Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Regarding divorce, we're now under a change from the OT law as per 1 Cor 7: 10-11: And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. And in Mt 19: 8-9: He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

To the object of this thread; I would say: Let the dead burry their dead.

For myself, I don't recognize any hierarchy above the local pastor of a church and the Apostle who may have originally founded it to be scriptural. As soon as a church hierarchical structure is generated to oversee a congreation, that structure becomes just another of the world's many kingdoms. While its true that such an organization is able to assist a congregation, and may even be full of spiritually mature men of God, who make a difference in those around them; eventually that will change, sadly. The scriptures in Acts, shows us and in 1, 2 Tim and Titues tells us that a new paster should be chosen from among that congregation and that he is not to be young in his faith to the Lord. We are also told in scripture that we'll know godly individuals by their fruits of the Spirit. There is no mention in scripture of a pool of itinerant pastors sent out from a hierarchical clergy to assume leadership of a congregation. Denominational hierarchyies excel at building walls that divide the body of Christ from itself. I will admit that they're good at identifying cults that twist who Jesus is. Some doctrines, like the veracity of scripture, the first principals of the oracles of God, and the apostles creed are required by any true christian body of believers. Dialogue with others of the faith regarding the lesser doctrines is great to sharpen our own beliefs and often lead us to study scripture to prove our opinions and to convince others of the truth as we understand it. But even then, according to 2 Cor 8: 2:
And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. Ultimately, our approval is based upon the following; 2 Cor 10: 18: For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

Unimportant. what a religio/political denominational business does,or doesn't do is nothing by "Theology/religion" "Papal authority" is only of significance to people who take the ground rules of denominations that ascribe to it seriously.

THERE IS ONE, AND ONLY ONE genuine Church of Jesus Christ, and EVERYBODY (regardless of their denominational affiliation) who is BORN AGAIN BY FAITH (not "belief") in the SIN OFFERING made by Jesus on the Cross and in indwelled by the Holy Spirit is part of that ONE CHURCH.

"Eschatology" is nothing more than a "Religious word meaning "Rank Speculation". Nothing more.

Good point,

But as for you, do not be called Rabbi; for only One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers and sisters. Matthew 23:8

It is significant because there are many beast it could be in the Holy Bible, and interestingly when dissecting Christianity everyone all a sudden wants end the topic.

But you have a good point,

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63

Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I am going to the Father. John 14:12

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3
