Yeah he does say he went to prepare a place and City for us . And Jesus did leave this earth and did promise to return to this earth at the end.

Where do you reckon we’re gonna spend eternity ? Here ?

“but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

( or here ?)

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:7, 10-13‬ ‭

But heaven is not a “physical “ place I agree it tells us that the spirits of just men dwell with him in sion the heavenly Jerusalem.

We might be thinking of the term “ spirit “ differently I believe there’s a spiritual world that’s actually more tangible than this one we see and touch . That’s higher than us.

Where was God coming down from if it’s not his place ?

“And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭11:5, 7‬ ‭

if he’s going from one place to another , heaven is actually a place but our eyes aren’t open to it right yet we have to leave the veil of our flesh first to see and touch it

Or for instance

“But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:29‬ ‭

Drinking the fruit of the vine in the kingdom ? I believe the issue is we can’t behold reality yet but when we pass th rough the veil we will see him as he is
We think of a city and we think of it’s infrastructure: roads, utilities, buildings, bridges, etc. At its purest form, a city is simply a collection of people governed by the same code. Think of what would happen to the people who lived in a physical city if there were no laws of conduct, standards, rules, etc. You would have anarchy and the people‘s lives would be vulnerable. The structures themselves would be vulnerable. So, for a city to be a city, people must agree to be governed by the same standards.

For a city to be holy, for example, the people must be holy as well. Collectively, they would be governed by the Holy One and agree to His righteous rule.

If you can see this, and then see this about The New Jerusalem, the Lamb’s Wife, the “Mother of us all” who are in Him. Then, you can examine the characteristics of the “city” and attribute them to the people who are the substance of it: the gates, precious stones, foundations, measurements, etc. He‘s showing us qualities of the holy people!

For example: foundations with the name of the apostles of the Lamb. Their teaching and conduct, their doctrine is the foundation of the “city”, the people who comprise “The New Jerusalem”. This is what unites the people into a collective “city” not that they share the same zip code.

I could go on for pages but I have some new doors to sand and paint.

Love you guys,

Right

“And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

….and had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: on the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. …. And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. …..And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:9-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“At its purest form, a city is simply a collection of people governed by the same code.”

Yes but where are those people brother ? Just floating out randomly in space or do they have a place and home in the city God prepared for them ? See it’s not saying “ the people are the city but it says “ they desire a better land that is heavenly and God has prepared for them a city

“But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Not that he made them into a city.

the people are definately part of the city in that they dwell there in his kingdom but think of it brother, God made us in his image we live in houses and group together in cities God spends the ot choosing a nation to be his very own and give them a promised land and make then a great nation and kingdom and to put his name on Jerusalem the city the place

“And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.”
‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭11:36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God also promised later that he would build a city for them a place for them to never be destroyed or persecuted again never fall and fail anymore a city that would be forever and the lord would be there with his people

i think the people are why he prepared the city for them……like in the beginning he prepared the earth for us to dwell . God can do a lot that we can’t see coming

I have never been able to find in Paul's writings or any other scriptures where it states that the Church is Spiritual Israel. - Can you please supply Scripture quotes (in context). Thank you.
Galatians 3
You foolish(A) Galatians!(B) Who has bewitched you?(C) Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.(D) I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit(E) by the works of the law,(F) or by believing what you heard?(G) Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?[a] Have you experienced[b] so much in vain—if it really was in vain? So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles(H) among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?(I) So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”[c](J)

Titus 3:5
he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
John 4:23
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spiritand in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
John 4:24
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

It is all Spirit, no flesh can enter legally at all, no flesh pleases God at all, but Son's, who was not born of man, born of woman not man
Hebrews 7:11
Jesus Like Melchizedek
If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?
Hebrews 7:12
For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also.
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Romans 8:4
in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:8
Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

We, I at least see I need to be born again by God not self or anyone else thanks
Called in the Spirit the things not seen are eternal as the things seen are temporal
Hope this might give you some truth between God and you, thank you

seeing presently, daily, without anymore "Unrealistic expectations" Taking daily moment by moment, not expecting what I might think to work out how, I might think, So far that has been my life here, things have changed much along the way, in thought of I got it and do not, only Father and Son as Won (One) got it. To see and stand in trust to God Father in risen Son Jesus only, no matter what. Taking all thought captive to the obedience of Son Faith to God Father for us to see the same as Son did all the way, without any flesh fight, amazing thanks

Do you think when the writer of Hebrews wrote this:

But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that ofAbel.

…that he was referencing a mountain and a city? If so, where is it? If they have come to it, where is it?

When Jesus referred to believers as “a city on a hill” where was it? Was it an earthly city? No, of course not.

An earthly city serves many purposes. Primarily, gathering people together to share resources, protection, provision, and order.

God’s people are in Christ.
In Christ we have… protection, provision, order, and we fit together as His Body, where each does its part for the betterment of the whole.

The New Jerusalem is certainly a real city, just not in the way men have imagined it.

“If so, where is it? If they have come to it,where is it?”

its in that other realm right now the one higher than us that we can’t see until we pass through the veil. Brother we can’t see heaven we’re lower heaven sees us it’s higher two realms of creation .

Where it’s at is in heaven as it says it’s just that we’re in a box and can’t see the other side until the flesh is removed .

again this is apparent for instance

“And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭19:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

where is he coming down from ? This is why I had quoted the stuff like this

“In the beginning God created the heaven

and the earth.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Now how was it divided

“The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's:

But the earth hath he given to the children of men.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭115:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭11:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens;

And his kingdom ruleth over all.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭103:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The LORD is in his holy temple, The LORD's throne is in heaven: His eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭11:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭7:15‬ ‭

brother we can’t see everything yet we only see in part we can’t see the heavens yet or the spiritual but when we shed our flesh we will .

God exists somewhere and seems to promise an inheritance and city that’s currently in heaven but after the end will come from heaven back to earth

you asked where it was

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, ( this is where he’s been coming down from all along ) prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when the earth is restored the city of God will descend from heaven but at that point people will see it because flesh and blood will be done no more vail

There are a lot of references to people dwelling in heaven with the lord not only Hebrews 12

did you know the law is an earthly pattern of the things in heaven which Moses was shown on the Mount ? When he entered the cloud he was shown heavenly things and warned to make everything strictly according to the pattern he was shown

God has a home brother we can’t see it with our eyes yet but it’s there
