This song was popular in the 90s in Europe and it got a lot of airtime.
It's an Egyptian song.

@CommodoreTeach @CarriePie @ForgiveMeGod i keep hearing you guys smashing things around so let's play some songs with 'smashing' lyrics in them.
Here's one:
Ha, ha. I never appreciated the Cranberries in their day, but came across this one a few years back - smashing, but in a different sense! :) Sadly, Dolores the singer with the beautiful voice (great name also), passed away a year or two before I came across her song.

Lyrics:
God requires a sacrifice
But moneychangers sold it in the temple
Taking what the Lord laid down in his Word
And turned it to something evil
Jesus came in, you know what came down
He drove the sellers to their knees
"This is a house of prayer
But you made it a den of thieves."

Chorus:
Smash, smash
Smash the guitar
Who made the music?
Who is the star?
Smash, smash
Smash the guitar
When the moneychangers go too far
Smash the guitar!

So many rockers are missing the boat
Too bad they can't walk on water
Making music for the prince of the dark
And turning their back on the Father
No more meek and mild at the end of time
I promise you He is no liar
And all of the things that don't shout His praise
Are gonna burn, burn, burn
Burn in the fire

Smash, smash
Smash the guitar
Who made the music?
Who is the star?
Smash, smash
Smash the guitar
When the moneychangers go too far
Smash the guitar!

I have no song to sing
But that of Christ my King

Smash, smash
Smash the guitar
Smash, smash
Smash the guitar
You've gotta thrash, bash...

Smash, smash
Smash the guitar
Who made the music?
Who is the star?
Smash, smash
Smash the guitar
When the moneychangers go too far
Smash the guitar!
(repeat 'til end)
