Brasspen, My thoughts on the matter is that you are a child of God and he loves you very much. God doesn't want you to be miserable and in bondage and has given you power over all your enemies through His name, Luke 10:19. If you have true faith in God, you can anoint yourself and the door posts of your house with olive oil and order those evil spirits out of your life in Jesus' name, James 5:7, 5:14.
If you have repented of your sins and asked forgiveness, know that you have been forgiven and your sins have been blotted out. You need to forgive yourself and move on with your life in peace knowing that God is always with those that love Him. May God bless you, strengthen you and watch over you.

Hello brother. I believe its demonic attachment. I don't think your possessed. Christian people have power in Jesus name to order Satan and evil spirits away. Understand, unclesn Spirit can attachment to those who don't have holy Spirit.

I converted to Christianity in 1999. In 2004. There was message on my answering machine. It was 5 minutes long, derogatory and hate. Halfway through her voice changed to masculine voice. She admitted she is possessed by demon and evil.
I would never attempt a exorcism on her. Why ??? She surrendered to Satan. She willingly gave her mind to him. Exorcism won't work. She doesn't have Faith, and hates Jesus. Any Christian is putting themselves in dangerous situations if they attempt it.
It will work, if the individual wants the Demon out. And must have faith.
On that answering machine. Satan spoke. Told me, he tired to destroy me 6 years earlier. He said to me, he will try to destroy me in the future. Demonic possession is absolutely real !!!! . I personally experienced it. I dated her period of time,1997. I fell in love. She used it against me to try to destroy me. I've never dated again. We understand this.

In Acts chapter 19. Seven sons of sceva, priest, tried exorcism on demon possessed man. They messed up. The Demon possessed almost killed them.

I wanted to give up date to you guys about this. One problem I was having, was I believed people where able to read my mind by looking at eye movement and things. While it's true you can pickup some things from body language and things, they can't really read people's minds. I started to think about it and realized it was true. Then I checked out a book on how to read minds. It says in the preview that nobody can really do that, but you can learn some things to help try to figure out what people are thinking. I have calmed down after this. Someone had put it in my to believe they could read my mind.

While I know it's true the Holy Spirit can tell people about other people, there is no mind reading happening. I do know some witch craft can find things out about people, but often it's lies.

Coming to chrisitanchat is truly a blessing. I have gotten much help from here.

I used to be a drunk and near the end of my drinking I began to feel ashamed and guilty for this vice and addiction I had

it didn’t feel good but it did have a part in me quitting drinking many years back and the shame turned into a feeling of thankfulness to God and liberty I was never ashamed about drinking well being a raging alcoholic is a better description but it was my behavior knowing I was supposed to be a Christian that was causing the shame

i don’t I ow your situation could be that it’s a demon or has nothing to do with your behavior but I was just saying sometimes what we are doing how we are living is what’s causing shame or guilt and it goes away with a change of behavior and even becomes a good feeling of freedom and praise to God
