Could you possibly live anywhere more beautiful? So happy for you.

First snow came, which is super nice, since it would be so dark and colourless without it, well, as if white is a colour..

Still, it was way easier to go outside when it looked (and felt) more like this:

I dunno... That second picture looks awfully warm. I would take the first picture, with proper clothing, any day.

This was on my way home yesterday afternoon...I love the orange leaves on the ground. Some days it is misty and wet over here. 1000003862.jpg

I love orange leaves too. Colorful foliage is a delight to the eyes.
I also like misty days. It's been misty here lately. Some of my favorite walks/hikes have been on misty days.

Anyway...very nice, Kireina!

It is wonderful how God has made this world so beautiful, with changing views, sunsets that look so amazing and yet it can be different by each day! Gorgeous sunset, and I really like lighthouses!

Colourful leaves make the ground look more lively. It is great that leaves first look beautiful on threes, then on the ground too!
Mist brings its own difference to the scenery. It feels calm all around when it is misty weather!

Speaking of mist..
I went to a National park today for a few hour hike.

If it would have been clear weather I could have seen really far, now there just was this wall of mist.
I need to go back in summer or autumn to see the full view with lakes and hills.

There were many stairs.. that showed me how out of shape I am currently :cautious:

And we also do have a lot of swamps:

After driving there for 2 hours and hiking for 3 hours and then driving back another 2 hours, it felt nice to relax in a hot sauna, hoping my muscles do not hurt tomorrow that much..

Then there was this evening glow after 5 pm:

What's bothers me now, is that I heard a weird bird sound while hiking, and I don't know what bird it is!

Beautiful pics and breathless scenery!!

I love hiking, it's a feeling like no other.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who gets bothered when I hear a bird I can't identify. I heard a bird one day that I couldn't identify. It took me months to figure out what that bird was. Funnily enough, I was on a local trail called Bird Trail that had informative signs along the way of various birds. One sign was about birds that are often heard, but rarely seen. I took a pic of the sign and went home and listened to all them on Audubon and I found my bird lol.
I hope you'll find your bird eventually! Thanks for the lovely pics!

oh no! snow! don't want to go! i heard about that snowstorm on the w.c. some areas said to have gotten 3 to 4'!!!
Our authorities are saying the Black Mesa received about 8 inches of snow. A climatologist says that Kenton (our western most community) received 16 inches.

Yes, hiking is the best! Now my plan is to visit more National parks and other nature paths, but those would be better when there is no ice. Had to be careful with every step because of the ice.

Haha, I quess it is important to read the signs, but glad you found the bird in question. Btw, what was your bird?
In the National park there also were signs but those only were for the landscape and history ... I think, as I didn't read 'em all  Who knows if there also were a wildlife signs of birds too..
But, I recorded that bird sound, so I sent it to my aunt who is a "birdnerd", I would say. Although she had never heard it, she sent it to bidlife where they usually answer within a week. So I have my hopes up!

Beautiful! I can't wait to have that amount of snow (and more hopefully)! Light to the darkness! Evenings are much more enjoyable when it looks even a bit brighter with snow, and silence is another bonus snow brings.

Moika! This is breathtaking! I love Finland and how you can instantly recognise Finnish nature by the distinct types of trees and those beautiful, huge flat rocks on shores and sometimes in forests.
