So many men and women of God today do not read their Bibles as they should be doing and I myself have at times allowed day to day situations to interfere with my keeping with daily devotionals with the Word either in the Morning, or at all in that day. Not that I have wronged God as throughout the day I am at many times communing with the Lord through prayer, however, I do not read as I should. My wife tells me at times that I fast from the word for more days than I fast from food. She is right at times.

My question: Scripturally speaking, as a follower of Jesus, what do you think a person should do: Set time aside to read / listen to the audio Bible while doing tasks throughout the house / pray during the week and read during the church service while following the Pastor through scripture or read when the feeling strikes you? Your thoughts?

If you can, please cite scripture that comes to mind with your response. If you can not think of one, that is okay. I am looking for as many responses from everyone as possible.

Is 28: 9-10: Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk... For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
I take the last phrase of the above verse to reveal how illumination from the Spirit is administered. So that five to ten chapters a day have more revelation than a 100 chapters once a week.
Is 55: 9-12: For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Heb 8: 8-12: For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
This is the promise of the New Covenant, where the Lord purges our consciences and transform us into Jesus' moral image by the renewing of our minds. Something that the Old Covenant could never do!
Ps 119: 11: Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Ps 119: 9: Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Eph 5: 26: That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
2 Tim 3: 16-17: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Rom 3: 17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Heb 5: 12-14: For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
1 Pet 2: 2: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Jas 1: 22: But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
2 Pet 1: 3-4: According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2 Cor 1: 20: For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
Jn 14: 21: He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Ps 138: 2: I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Jn 17: 17: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

There is new Heart knowledge given a person that believes God sincerely over this world liking them or not. (Ezekiel 36:26)
Read the Bible to know God personally. The entire Bible is a Gigantic love story from God to you personally and all other people as well.
It all began at God not killing Adam and Eve! What? Yep
Why did God not just kill them? I mean God told them death would be if ate from that tree didn't God?
He did not kill them. Had Mercy, clothed them, fed them, wow! Now I bet the enemy of God then known as Satan a high Arch Angel then was watching I bet, do not have scripture on that. Yet Jealousy!
I do see God's enemy was watching, expecting Adam and Eve will be no more, and be dead as God said to them if you eat you will surely die!
They ate, they did not die right away did they? I bet Evil was angry, and has been angry ever since, not seeing as God sees, yet wanting to be God over God (Psalms 82). Ever since all flesh has wanted its own way, do you not want that too that is in your first born flesh body, not yet redeemed? In all first born flesh is the flesh that will not or can not please God, but Son's the only one that pleased God for ever and ever will. (John 19:30)

See the entire Bible as a Love story to you personally from God for you to be made alive in his risen Life of Son Jesus for you, Born again. If you or anyone else has that motive only, even though many other things try to invade and do of this world we all are in, since you will stand on truth for you from God to you, as in Col 1:21-23 tells you. Then read Col 2 also to see he is risen and they that got Jesus killed saw him as risen and oh boy, scared and feared and yet he still wanted them to believe him in his love and mercy given to all, not a few as only the flesh nature only knows how to do, just love those that love them back
God just loves you and us all (1 John 2:1-12)
