I'm a member of different forums and NEVER have I've seen threads held up for approval. .usually you can report a thread and mods will remove them and the mods are all volunteers like you said and they have many but some related to a specific sub-forum.
I've seen those forums too. Notice I am here and not there. I like it here.

Trust me, waiting a little while is the lesser of two evils here.

Optimally there would be no need for such things, in a perfect world. But as Walgreens says, we are nowhere near perfect. I'm happy with waiting a bit instead of dealing with people starting a lot of junk just to make trouble.

And again, you will notice I am not hanging out on those forums where they do not have this kind of moderation. There is a reason for that. I definitely like it here better.

Yes, holding up new topics for review is a good practice for all the reasons that have been mentioned and i just wanted to say thank you to the admin for doing this "job" everyday with everything else that's going on his life.

Thank you, may the Lord rebuke me for my impatience. I'm just excited to be here and to ask questions and learn.

Oh yeah. Suffice to say I’ve gotten a few threads that haven’t been approved. Maybe for the best.😂

Sometimes I think it's just the system trying to save us from ourselves!
