what percent "give" 10% from their heart 10% INCOME...or more... happy?

Any other percentage, lesser or greater, is not a tithe.

Just a reminder: a biblical tithe was never money given to a local church congregation. The concept of money as a tithe is an invention of the Roman Catholics.

Where in scripture does it specifically state that tithing is only money? God has equipped every member of the body with spiritual gifts that He expects us to use in the edification and maturation of the Saints. Most churches want extra monies to hire additional personnel or to purchase additional resources as needed for the church as new members are added to the roster and needs become greater. Yes, spiritual gifts can be the ability to provide monetary resources to edify the Saints as God has blessed certain individuals with these resources. Jesus expects His followers to use the resources He has given to each of us (our spiritual gifts) to teach, train, equip and help all baby Christians in their growth as they mature and move from milk to meat. Consequently, church leadership will be held accountable for what they did with the resources God gave them; not just the monies that came in but all the members of the body who He is holding each one of us accountable for how we used our gifts to fulfill the overall ministry of His church. He holds each one of us responsible for the success of His church not just the few who lecture or perform the concerts on Sundays. Woe to those leaders who don't create and maintain a culture where every member must be actively involved in "making disciples of all people" as Christ commanded His church in the "great commission". How well is the evangelical church in America doing? We must stop the motto of "we need bigger budgets so we can build bigger churches" While the church Gets larger by baptizing new members who are satisfied with remaining on "mother's milk", never becoming mature enough to be able to go into the marketplace of ideas in a secular world and being able to answer the questions that a materialistic society asks about Christians, having never put on the full armor He has given us or knowing how to use the sword (His Word) that God has provided to repel the fiery darts of the enemy.
The evangelical church in America does not need a revival; it needs another reformation.

It doesn’t; that’s my point.

Yet it is generally understood that, in scripture, a “talent” implies a talent of gold.

I do not believe it is required, but I have given a minimum of 10% for over 50 years now and have never been in need.
That is my choice and I fill blessed that I can still do so even though I am retired and live on SS.
