I'm just gonna put everything out at once in just a few words. In may of 2023 at a home group meeting where I wanted to share what I had learned about praise / worship, I was attacked by a demon and contracted covid. (please start a convo if you really want the details) A long list of complications led to amputation below the knee of my left leg. My first prosthesis had a rigid foot and I had to learn how to walk again. Last week I got my permanent leg but this one has a flexiable foot so I' having to learn to walk again, again.

Covid caused some brain problems which are getting better but not totally gone. Combine that with Chemo brain I am still not totally through it. Chemo brain due to chemo treatment for lung cancer.

I am also looking at another surgery for neuroma(s) at the removal site. These are nerves that were surgically severed and just left hanging loose in the residual left leg. Surgery to repair, 4 to 6 weeks in a wheelchair.

Plaque buildup in some blood vessels causing moderate hand tremours.

My wife is due for s bone marrow biopsy in about a week. We are looking at multiple myloma (bone cancer) with probable chemo for her.

Do you have any family or people who can help you and be around you during this difficult time?
If you have nobody, you can ask the hospitals for assistance and they should bring a nurse or even someone who can help with basic things around the house like, shopping, cleaning, cooking, help with showers if needed or other things.
I don't know what state you live and what options are there for you, but ask anyway if you don't have any family, extended family or friends around.
May God bless you and take away this burden from you! In the name of the highest physician of our souls Jesus Christ!

My daughter and wife took turns setting with me during the 2 month hospital stay last summer. And my daughter set us up for a lawn service.

If my wife does need chemo we are making making plans for someone to come clean house for us. Also planning for pre cooked meals.

My wife gave me a customized photo of an older couple sitting on a bench with the caption

"I can't promise that I will be here
for the rest of your life.
but I can promise that I'll love you
for the rest of mine.."

We are in this together no matter what comes

@oldman I just saw your profile and you've put Florida as your home state.
My uncle lives in Florida (Clearwater) and when he had some trouble with a knee surgery, he asked for a nurse visit to help with things around the house despite him having his wife there and his daughter who is married who both helped him.

Got through the bone marrow biopsy almost 98% pain free. That in itself is a miracle. Everyone did what they were supposed to do and the Lord filled in any gaps. PTL!

Oh no, You've both been through and are going through so much. My heart goes out to you.

I've posted a lot of information on cancer, in case you didn't know. Just do an advanced word search under my name.

Praying for you both.

My wife's bone marrow biopsy came back negative for cancer. Levels of whatever causes it is still high but doctor seemed to be not very concerned. Will have another bone biopsy in 1 to 2 years. So today was good news. Thank you Lord

Wife is going for a second mamogram this week. Dr asked for a 3d look at one side. That plus our roof is leaking and we don't have enough funds to cover it.
We really need more miracles.

We are still praying for a complete healing in your family, and that includes the leaky roof. Take our prayers, add the others on this thread, along with your own to the altar in your church.
