Anyone having a Bible study
I was studying Abraham and his children of all nations the past few days
Now
the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him;…
Genesis 12:1, 3-4 KJV
“
By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance,
obeyed;
and he went out, not knowing whither he went.”
Hebrews 11:8
As he followed and obeyed the lord
“After these things the word of the LORD
came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And
he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And
he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”
Genesis 15:1, 5-6 KJV
and then this
“As for me,
behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And
I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.”
Genesis 17:4-7 KJV
after isaac is born Abraham is told to sacrifice him as a burnt offering and obeys but God stays his hand and saves the boy then he said a second thing to him based on Abraham’s faith to obey even when it came to isaacs sacrifice
“And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven
the second time, and said,
By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
and
in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”
Genesis 22:15-16, 18 KJV
The reason I began this study is I was reading Galatians 3 and wanted to I understand what Paul’s talking about
“
Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
And the
scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
….Now
to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And
to thy seed, which is Christ.
….For ye are all the
children of God
by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
And
if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
Galatians 3:6-9, 16, 26-29
i then was noticing that
it’s the gospel Paul’s saying was promised to Abraham and it was sent to all nations to fulfill the promise made to him regarding all nations
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be prea
ched in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
Matthew 24:14 KJV
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and
teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
Abrahams inheritance is found in the gospel that is sent to all people the gospel of the kingdom
“There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see
Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. And
they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.”
Luke 13:28-29
