Is Donald Trump Saved?

Health and Happiness, August 10, 2024, 6:10PM
The question of Donald Trump's salvation and beliefs have been discussed since he was elected for his first term. We can only judge someone's testimony by the Scriptures.
Since we are only saved by the grace of God through faith in His Son, that is what we hope to hear. Ephesians 2

Donald Trump was shot and life miraculously spared, many of us began praying for his safety and salvation. He acknowledged that God saved his life. May his heart become tender to his need for the Lord.

There is an old video where he was asked if he ever confesses his sins. It was hard for him to admit that he needs to. That was an indication that he wasn't saved. Although confessing specific sins is not required for salvation, it is something that believers should do regularly to God.

There was an Easter (Christmas?) service at a large Baptist church a few years ago where he spoke eloquently about our Savior.
Unfortunately, he tacked on his belief that our works are necessary at the end.

Just a week ago Donald Trump was asked if he believes in Heaven. He stated that he does. He also explains what he believes is required to get there. The question has finally been answered.

>Trump's Salvation Testimony<

(The short video is from a very good Christian YouTube channel. I highly recommend clicking onto the channel title and then subscribe at his home page. Hit the bell for notifications. It's my favorite Christian channel.)

(Please pray for Donald Trump as often as you think of him. Not only does he need safety, he needs God's Son as his Savior. Pray that God will send Spirit filled soul winners with the courage to present Trump with the clear plan of salvation. That would not only bless him, but could be a blessing to the world if he follows God's Word after that.)

First John has several tests whereby one can tell if another is a Christian. I think Trump fails on all accounts.

But Biden and kamala pass? Get the heck out of here. 🤣

Some people think God is a communist and thinks people should be poor. Well yes I could see how trump being rich would make him not saved then. But thankfully wealth and abundance actually come from God...

No person is perfect enough to get into heaven. But trump acknowledges God... therefore he's automatically blessed. And if you think God is not on his side take a look at the rally where he was less than a cm away from death.

Acknowledging God does not make a Christian.
It is repentance and faith that brings a person into the Kingdom of God.
Trump is habitual liar, adulterer etc. He shows no sign of repentance or allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ.

The sway he has over many Christians is like that of Hitler over the Church in Germany. History is repeating itself.

As for his near miss with death, could it have been a wake up call for him to get right with God? I think so.

Thanks Be Unto God That "He Is The [ Only ] Righteous Judge Of all"...

...it certainly isn't me, just getting The Gospel Of Grace to those in need,
and then:

The Blessed Holy Spirit "Takes Over", eh?

Amen.

First John has several tests whereby one can tell if another is a Christian.
1 John 4:

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Also,

1 Corinthians 12:

3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

Until you witness Trump confessing Jesus as Lord, I would not make any assumptions about him being born-again...

The statements "I believe in God." and "I believe in heaven." are not sufficient as proof of salvation by any means.

A satanist "believes in [a] god" - and, his name is Lucifer.

People from every part of the world believe in heaven - most are trying to work their way there.

But, the name of Jesus - lifted up in glory with reverence - now you have something meaningful!

True, every religion believes in God.
All pseudo- Christian religions claim to believe in Jesus and are trinitarian too. The big problem is that they tack faith in their good works onto it.
Trump said when he was young that Norman Vincent Peale was his pastor.
Peale taught a works based salvation.
He was into "The power of positive thinking" that was a trend in the 1970s-80s. That would explain Trump's view on his sins in an older interview.
I don't know much about Trump but I spent a lot of time trying to find all of his references to God and what he thought of salvation. That's why the initial short video in the OP interested me. It's important to the country even though they don't realize it .

I thought you might want to hear the rest of the segment that short clip in my OP came from. It's almost 5 minutes.

My big question is.... why in the world are you requiring Trump to "be a born again believer" when you do not hold ALL presidents or candidates to the same standard?
Is Kamala born again? Being of Indian heritage, I seriously doubt it. What about Pelosi, and Schumer, and every other person that has been elected and put into office? Is AOC a believer? Was Biden a believer? How about Bill Clinton?

Why does it matter whether Trump is, or is not, born again? When did that become a requirement for the presidency?

Second question is..... who appointed ANY of you to "decide" whether another person is truly born again? How about you take your OWN inventory, and let every one else worry about their own salvation.

My goodness, you Pharisees amaze me....

It's fun!

At least... It seems like a lot of people find some fun in it. I never have seen the attraction myself, but a LOT of people do it. It must be at least a little fun. They're clearly getting SOMETHING out of it.

From what I've seen and heard...
Trump does not believe that God is immanent....or more plainly stated that God is active and seeks personal relationships with His Creation. Hence he surmised there is no need of repentance or forgiveness.

However Trump's view of God is not as pertinent as God's view of Trump. (Just saying)

Was the sniper missing God's providence or a warning?

Did you mean eminent or imminent?

From context it seems you meant eminent. But neither fits what you said directly after "immanent."

Here's what I do know for a fact....

God sets up leaders or deposes them. It's not ourselves that do it. As much as you may like or not like it Joe Biden was installed as President by God for His purposes....
Same thing goes for Trump.

The entirety of God's plans are not revealed to mankind....

What we do for a fact know is that Trump is seeking to be elected President against Harris. And if the Rasmussen poll (usually most accurate) is believed Trump is in the lead and will win the Election. (Personally I think that the debates will widen his lead even though Trump sucks at debate Harris is much much worse).

Leaving JD Vance to be President for 8 years. (Maybe if God so wills)

The Democrats currently do not have anyone who is better liked or as well spoken as Vance. And he does seem to delight in making Democrats look foolish with their own words. So I do not see them coming up with anyone that will succeed.

Then....our demise as a nation is almost guaranteed.

We, as a nation, have a baby problem. We do not have enough 2nd generation Americans being born. The problem is multi-faceted. Currently the birth rate is 1.6 children for every woman. 2.1 keeps us at a steady pace for consistent population....no growth but stable population numbers.
Where this is a problem is that immigration is necessary to grow. And our tax structures and Economy are such that we must grow to survive at all. Otherwise it all comes crashing down.

Population decline of 2nd generation Americans started in the 60's. Feminism including equal Pay for women, uncertain economic futures, and birth control methods all have contributed to declining birth rates.

This is a very astute understanding of the political and economic challenges and associated topics concerning America.
I didn't understand the demise thing altogether. Do you believe Vance in office will lead to demise? Or our continued population growth or lack thereof?

One of the many things I see that will lead to our demise most quickly if not corrected is all the injustice...righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people.

Our population decline numbers while increasing moral turpitude is what will destroy us.
Where regulated border security is essential for every nation to actually have a future....immigration alleviates some of our live birth problem. But the moral decay has always guaranteed the destruction of EVERY empire.

Babylon leadership was having a long party while an invading force was camped out at their walls. (Which were not penatratable or possibly have seige works built against) but the moral decay and drunkenness lead to leadership not checking and rechecking each and every access point....

Sumerian Empire had similar issues of moral decay.

Ottoman Empire (more recently) also was in massive decay (due to immorality) but thought they had an opportunity when they joined forces with Germany, Italy, and Japan.

And where Communist Empires are great in concept...immorality usually does them in with greed and power plays by a few in leadership.

Where Vance comes into play for our demise is the same as Reagan's Christian Nationalism. Which actually made the world a scary place for a while. It shattered the Soviet Empire into a bunch of small pieces but made stamping out crime syndicates in that area far reaching even into America. The Baltics too became a mess with Muslims and Christians fighting.

Meanwhile the world was gaining in evil....Americans began yet another love affair with narcotics (cocaine and crack) and various new ways for lawmakers to engage in Graft. (Stock market insider trading) Where we busted one monopoly (AT&T) we ignored Microsoft. Plus we pretty much destroyed any influence we might have had in the middle east due to one bad policy after another. We never understood the people or the problems. Same with the Far East.
But everyone's personal moral corruption continued to decline with the removing of criminality of homosexuality, feminism, and recreational drug use
OR
Such rigid legalism that people abused others through guilt and intimidation.

Pick your poison....we poison ourselves in some fashion.
