Now is the time for believers to be of one mind and try not to strive against each other.
If we believe with our heart, mind and soul Jesus the Messiah suffered and died so we can be redeemed and know God, that should enable us to offer the hand of friendship to one another.

Minor differences may come up but we will all stand before the Lion of Judah someday.

Well you better hold on. Because if Christians don't get out and vote against this, this will be America in less than a year.

The Christians didn't break the law. They were illegally arrested and strip searched. They were let go at 2:30 am after the prosecutor confirmed there wasn't a legitimate reason for them to be detained/arrested. This is pretty disgusting on the French police's part.

I would be careful posting stories like this if you want to stay on CC though. When posting stories or videos of police abusing their authority, you will quickly be labeled as a cop-hater and possibly banned for it. I've seen it happen sadly. There isn't a distinction between being anti-bad cop and being anti-cop.

Today Christians and conservatives do not have to break the law to be treated as criminals and labeled as terrorists. This part of the wave to shut down all dissent, which is a Communist strategy to remain in power. The FBI has been targeting Catholics for example, ad pro-lifers are being arrested and locked up for opposing abortion. Law-abiding citizens in the UK who want to stop ILLEGAL immigration are said to be promoting "racial hatred" and will be prosecuted simply for posts on social media.

I'm against any powers that are against the preaching and free exercise of Christ's gospel.

I am commanded to expose and have no part of them.

Ephesians 5:8For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9(for the fruit of the Spirit isin all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather [c]expose them. 12For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13But all things that are [d]exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14Therefore He says:

“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”

We must hold fast.. this is our destiny.. GOD is not mocked by these unbelievers.. We are to be in this world not of it.. each path of Faith to endure. Voting left or right, blue or red is not going to change the outcome. The agenda is the same, divide and conquer! GOD wins, we need to make sure we are Faithful and come what may not deny Him. The world is broken because man is in the mortal as sinful unbeliever’s. It is difficult to abide here among people that don’t believe. Witnessing the vileness. Darkness posing as light.. remember that the Good Shepherd called us and we receive the King’s pardon.

Hi @SavedByBlood

Then why don't you respond as the one you claim to believe in has told you to respond?

Count it all joy, when you are persecuted for my name's sake.

Look, we're neither supposed to be surprised nor upset about these matters where christians are persecuted for Jesus' name. Of course, the question must be asked, were they proclaiming the name of Jesus or just going in with a bunch of anger that the people of the world, they believe, ticked off their God?

And for the record, the ceremony that they're all up in arms about had nothing to do with anything of God or Jesus or his life. No one, in the conception of the performance ever considered that what they were doing was trying to offer some modern ungodly representation of the last supper. If that were the case, there would have been 12 people standing around the table. There would have been wine and bread scattered about the table and the 12 people would have been reclining in an "let's eat" manner.

There was nothing in that performance that resembled anything about the last supper except for a long table. But that long table didn't have the right setting or the right people for anyone to jump to the conclusion that the long table, the only thing there that 'might' have been at the last supper, somehow represented the long table upon which Leonardo Da Vinci posed the last supper.

The room likely didn't have big tall windows either, so we, believers, also know that the painting that Da Vinci created probably isn't accurate in its depiction either. So, as far as flying over there to make some big stink about nothing that had anything to do with what they thought it represented, I'm ok that they got arrested. They should have stayed home and used the kerfuffle that was wrongly made over the issue as a place to say to their friends, "Do you know Jesus? You know, all this big brouhaha is supposedly about a man that lived named Jesus. Can I tell you about him?

God bless,
Ted

Ted, let's say for a moment that France has never heard of Christianity.
Would you say it's appropriate for an Olympic event to show this type of trash? Typically in Olympics, i would like to see athletes doing things that the rest of us can't do. The best of the best. The opening ceremonies according to tradition usually show this in the form of top or past athletes and some art about the host country.
Why do i need to see the circus instead of the Olympics?
So it's not even a Christian point i'm making here.

What do you think?

Hi @Eli1

First of all, why should I assume an impossibility. That France has never heard of christianity. Really????? Secondly, what type of trash. It was a representation of a ceremony that was showing how the ancient Greeks, where the Olympic Games come from, held a celebration to one of their gods. Now, if you're just going to call it trash because it involves some false god, then you've likewise got to call all of the Muslim faith trash to their faces also. All of the Hindus and Buddhists. Look it's an Olympic event and so the event organizers chose to go with a ceremony that resembled what was done in ancient Greece. How is that trash?

I'm telling you, although you seem to refuse to want to listen because you've been brainwashed by the media source you choose to listen to, I guess, there was nothing in that depiction that resembled anything that I've seen or understood as the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his disciples. Nothing!!!!! Except a long table. That's it!! This entire brouhaha is over some supposed christian seeing a long table, which they think because of Da Vinci's painting is how Jesus shared the Last Supper, but not necessarily, was some representation of the Last Supper of Jesus, the Christ.

I'm sorry, but this is all just silly and makes christians look silly in the eyes of the unbelievers. Because they all know that the ceremony performed at the Olympics had nothing to do with Jesus, but these foolish christians are making it all about them. Who wants to believe like they do? They seem to be pretty stupid about all of this. That's what the unbelievers think when they see this kind of foolishness by those who claim to know Jesus, but really have no idea how he shared the last supper. In fact, if they're going by Da Vinci's painting, then they also believe it was in some huge hall with 8 feet tall windows. Yeah right! That's what the upper room was, a huge banquet hall. Look friend, Da Vinci's painting is a representation of what Da Vinci imagined the Last supper was like. But there's nothing in that painting that we know really represents the ceremony except for Jesus and the apostles reclining around a 'long table'. In reality, we don't even know if a table was in that room. As a common practice of eating in ancient Israel, people didn't generally sit down at tables. They also didn't have chairs to sit on! Da Vinci created a great masterpiece in honor of Jesus, but we don't know if any of it is a true representation and there are some things that we know are not true about the event. Like the big tall windows with fancy valances.

See those benches that they are sitting on? That isn't how people sat to eat in ancient Israel. See that coffered ceiling. That would have only been if maybe they were sharing the last supper in Herod's castle. All of that fancy formed concrete that you see in the window boxes. Wouldn't have been there! Those little side boxes in the wall. Wouldn't have been there.

But really, do you see anything in this picture that closely resembles anything in that Olympic ceremony?

God bless and vote wisely,
Ted

Oh, and to answer your question as to why you need to watch it? You don't. But for quite a while now, the Olympics have always opened with some dramatic fanfare performance. So, if you've watched them for very long, then you must have known that there would be some grand opening performance. So, if you didn't want to watch that, because you believe the whole thing should be about nothing but human physical performances, you could have turned on your TV after that part was over. But no, you just want to gripe and complain about something. Go ahead.

God bless,
Ted

Oh, and one last thing about the painting. Look at the people, their faces. They are mostly white European faces. I would be hard pressed to see any of them as being Jewish. You know the people who generally have a slightly darker skin pigment. Jesus is probably the only one who looks like he might have some Jewish blood in him. Da Vinci created a great painting, but it's highly likely that very little of it actually resembles the night and the place where Jesus shared his last meal with his disciples.

I didn't watch the olympics or the opening ceremony. Had either not been blasted all over radio, TV or internet, I would not have known either event happened.

As for non-believers, they will continue in their moral bankruptcy as those before them. I hope some will turn to Christ because all are called and few are chosen.

As for me being surprised or upset, I don' believe I'm either at this point, I have seen worse. My post had more to do with believers being there to offer support for each other and to not strive against each other. I believe Christ would want us to support and comfort each other, not squabble over petty differences.

@tedincarolina i can see that you are very depended on certain ideas without good reason so i will try another day when the opportunity arises in order to try to shed some of the bias.

I would like to ask you another question now.
You keep saying "vote wisely".
Do you think the outcome of the presidential election hinges on the 20-30 active users of this forum who presumably are all in swing states?

Hey @SavedByBlood

Yeah, that's good that you didn't get worked up, like some seem to have done, over the opening Olympics' ceremony. It was nothing more than a depiction of a ceremony that is believed that ancient Greece may have celebrated.

And yes, we should always pray for and support our brothers and sisters who are faithful to do the work that God has established for us to do since before the foundations of the world were set in place. Tell people about His Son. Praise God!!!!

Hi @Eli1

What???? Why would I think that? But I still think, that even those 20-30 should vote wisely. And I have no idea where most of the people that I share with live. I'm not big on looking up bios and most people don't say where they live anyway. I looked up your bio. It says you're male, 46 and live in the U.S. That's pretty much what most of the bios say is the country that a poster is from. Now, I will freely tell you or anyone who asks that I live in Anderson SC.

And really. Did you mean "very depended"? What does that mean? And really!?!?!?! Certain ideas without good reason? Are you even thinking when you post?

Hey @Eli1
certain ideas without good reason

You know, that's real cheeky of you. You believe that the things that I believe are without good reason, even though I've written a number of posts explaining my reasons. Well, aren't you just the little know it all!

Look on every 365 days of the year, I have a far greater trust that VP Harris will be telling me the truth. While it is a proven historical fact that the GOP contender lied or pretty seriously stretched the truth, on average, 13 times a day. That's an average. Some days were better than others. LOL!!! Yes, on any given day, I am more sure that I'm hearing the truth from VP Harris, than I would ever expect from the GOP guy. Now, you go with that as you like. But to me, that's a pretty darn good reason that I can have a reasonable trust that my president is telling me the truth.

I also want a leader who knows the limitations of, not only the job, but of their own personal knowledge of things. That you can't just use some type of chlorine to cure a deadly respiratory virus. That I don't have any idea where a hurricane is going and so I'm not going to take a sharpie and draw you a map!!!! I mean that had to be the funniest lie at a time of a most serious issue, and why did he feel the need to do it? That's what I don't get. Was he really stupid enough to believe what he sharpied on that map? Did he really think that he knew more than graduated meteorologists concerning the track of a hurricane? Why did he do it? As president he should know that's not his job. That ain't what any of us are asking of him.

And then, the absolutely dumbest thing that I believe he has ever said, that I know, he believed in his heart he could just walk in and order everybody to do what he wanted done. Like dictator!!! He promised and promised and promised again that he had the bestest, the cheapest the greatest health insurance plan that any man had ever conceived or ever would. He promised over and over again that he was going to get rid of 'Obamacare' on day one. He got the job, and it was actually a few months later, he tried to rescind the ACA healthcare plan. His attack lost the very first time. He threw up his hands and said, "Who knew that health insurance could be so tough!" And you never heard or saw him working on it again.

Now, I ask you. Was he really dumb enough to think that he could just walk in and rescind a federal program that took 2 years to hammer out with just the stroke of his mighty pen? Cause if that's the case, that man knows nothing about how our government runs.

Now he's making all sorts of promises about all the things he's going to do on 'day one!!!' I just sit back and chuckle. I wonder if the coming 'day one' will be anything like the last of his 'day one's'? LOL And that's who you're going with, huh? OK. It's a free country and it's your free choice. But don't you ever accuse me of not having good reason to believe and understand things as I do, when I can offer you tons of proof of my reasons.

Didn't he promise you that he was going to pay down the debt within 8 years and balance the budget his first year. How did that go for you guys?

Didn't he promise to build you a big ol wall that would impenetrable and heck, Mexico would pay for it. Vote for me how can you loose!!! How did that work out for you guys. He couldn't even work with people well enough to get the funding that he needed. He had to keep stealing it from other projects. Then we had videos where people could buy a battery-operated saw and Home Depot and cut right through his impenetrable wall. How did that work out for you guys?

Didn't he promise that he was going to get the SC to make abortions illegal? Or did he? Tell me, what did he say he was going to do about abortions in the U.S. when he became president? He was however able to pick some judges that he liked, and I don't know if they really mattered, but the Roe v. Wade was overturned. But it only made it a state's rights issue. So for the most part abortions are still legal. I think 13 states or 14 have made some headway in restricting them from number of weeks to outright bans. However, I was listening to a report yesterday that did acknowledge that but said that we're actually having more abortions than we were before Roe was overturned. Man's heart is wicked. Who can know it? But the question at hand is how did your guy do on that metric? And if what you got was the best you think he was able to give you, then I'd still ask why you still support such a man who just can't seem to do the job.

Not because of his age, but because of his attitude, demeanor, the way he handles personal interactions with people, and how he handles his remarks about people. He just isn't presidential material to me. You do what you want with your vote. I'm voting for sanity and experience and a fairly good-sized intelligence gain over the other guy.

God bless and vote wisely,
Ted

PS I tell ya. You gotta quit misunderstanding my posts.

Hey again @Eli1

And now, ... now this guy that you put in place solely based apparently on his stand on abortion, isn't standing in the same place anymore. Now he's calling his own party fools for wanting to make abortions totally illegal, or at least highly restricted. Oh, and all that noise about doctors killing babies after they are born is just BC (cause I can't say the S word). There have always been limits on how many weeks a woman can be pregnant and have an abortion. But there have also been rare cases where those rules have been broken, but only for some medical emergency that none of us are privy to. But it isn't happening as you're being led to believe. But the man is a liar, and he seems to get way over excited, and thinks that it's so important to us, that he have the biggest crowd size. And so he constantly lies about it even faced with visual evidence to the contrary. The man is just a liar.

That's the person you want running the nation? Well, I'm sorry. I'm going with what I believe, with pretty good reason, a better choice.

Well, I'm not voting for him. Like I say, I'd like to trust that most of the time the leader of my nation is telling me the truth.

God bless you and vote wisely,
Ted

@tedincarolina let's try to understand each-other better.
When i asked you a question of Why do we need the Trans agenda in the Olympics, meaning there should be a Time and a Place for everything then you told me the following concepts:

1. Is was not about Christianity, it was about Greek gods. lol
2. You also made some comments about other religions and the Muslim faith, which is another fun topic onto itself because the last time they made fun of Muhammed in France they all went violent and killed the journalist.
3. You think i am brainwashed because i listen to only a certain segment of the media. This is funny because it's like a default response for both sides but i wasn't even born in US and i'm about as neutral as it can get when it comes to U.S. politics.
4. Then you go into some sort of technical explanation about the setting of Jesus' last supper to defend the trans agenda again, like the overall theme of the opening depended on some sort of technicality on the length of table, the color of their skins, or the cultural settings at the time.
5. Then you say "why did you have to watch it and complain about it". This is another fun topic onto itself because if you want to be isolated then you can be a monk or you can choose to be in the society and risk being offended.

So my question to you in order to understand each-other better is: Why did you have to go to such lengths to defend the trans agenda?
Can you explain this to me?
Thank you.
