From what I have observed, the more things a person has going on, the less time a person has to fool around with temptation. Like, ANY temptation. If a recovering alcoholic calls up his AA buddy and says "I just can't stop thinking about booze, man!" his AA friend will suggest doing something, like going for a motorcycle ride or fixing that toaster that is broken, or building a deck on the back of the house or something. (I learned that from a neat book called The Cracker Factory, and it proved to be legit what they really do.)
The best way to handle temptation seems to be keeping busy.
If you got stuff going on, you don't got no time to mess around with stuff you shouldn't be getting into.
