It cracks me up blaming the Government for how poor someone is.
Over 1/3 of all lottery winners file bankruptcy within 3 years after hitting the big jackpot.
The Government did not take it away.
Many times, Poor People, are simply Uneducated and Stupid with their money.
Many people are in the mess they created not what the Government did.

I said that because even in a Government staying just above High Inflation, smart investors, are out and about and enjoying the world God made.

Government schools don't teach basic finance that would cure much of this. Also, government programs favor single parent households, which almost always leads to poverty.
Three things one can do that will almost insure an individual does not end up impoverished:
1. Get an education
2. Get married
3. Don't have kids until married
If one follows these things, the chances of being impoverished is very small. Governments implement policies contrary to these things because they want people dependent on them.

Government corruption could not rob Americans blind if they were taught properly, hence you can trace the beginning of the collapse of the US to when the US formed public school. Once the parents handed over the education of their children from their control and from control of the local church, that was the beginning of the end for the US.

Okay now I'm just confused,,, we've gone 365 pages in this thread and went on and on about Bidenomics being the culprit and hence the need to elect Trump again to fix the government and the economy but now on page 366 we come to the idea that it's the poor uneducated people mishandling their own affairs the whole time and not really the governments fault?

What do you mean we?

The economy under Trump was "better" than under Biden. Better doesn't mean good or even OK. Biden's economy is outright in your face theft, like when he wants to use taxpayer money to pay off college loans, or using Tax payer money to launder it through FTX to pay for political campaigns.

But that doesn't mean it was good during Trump's administration. Much of the theft has occurred in the last 70+ years.

I do agree about the College loan stuff,,, as for the rest here where I live in Texas it's been worse year after year for about 30 years now and it didn't make any difference which party was in power it's just been a steady slow downward path.

I left Texas in the 1980s so I guess I missed the downward spiral.

I think from state to state(depends on the ruling party, lol) but some things they may try to avoid mentioning. A lot of times as I follow along with our discussions here on CC I do searches about things being discussed even if I'm not posting. Any way things like real estate prices going up,food ect. but I specifically add keywords to my searches(trick I saw on the www once)... So searches with "quotation marks" bring up searches only containing whats in quotation or just by adding a year or the word news it will bring up old news articles from that year. The reasoning for instance is if I wanted to know if real estate, food ect prices were falling or rising in a certain year they will move from hundreds of pages back and put them in the first few pages of the search results. The just of it is that for instance you can go back to say 2018(midway of Trumps term and before the pandemic) and find what was happening in the news and compare it to today's.... p.s. I think it's been going up and up for a long time Bush jr.,Obama,Trump,Biden makes no difference other than each one try's to suggest their term was great and the other's were not.

To paraphrase a popular Motley Crue song, Trump doesn't need to go away mad, he just needs to go away.

Both concepts are valid in the right context; it depends on the amount of government regulation. The more government controls that are in place, the more credit they get.

FDR typically gets credit for pulling the US out of the Great depression; while the 90's tech boom is more credited to Bill Gates and not Bill Clinton, because Clinton was just smart enough not to get in the way.

Nature abhors a vacuum, what would we get in place of Trump?

In 2020 Biden was "elected" because people voted for "anything but Trump". By now everyone should realize that that is not a winning strategy.

Is Congress's $17 million sexual misconduct hush money fund campaign finance violations? Rep. Thomas Massie highlights that Congress's hush money payments would be considered campaign finance violations under Alvin Bragg's novel theory used to target President Trump. "Congress has paid over $17 million in hush money for sexual misconduct inside of the offices in these buildings. And what's more, is that it was taxpayer money. The allegation is that President Trump paid $130,000 of his own money. But here in Congress, there might be some here on this dais who had the taxpayer pay for their sexual misconduct charges. And I do know that not a single penny of it has been turned in as a campaign finance expense." Former FEC Commissioner Trey Trainor explains that Alvin Bragg's novel interpretation of the law does not align with "normal campaign finance law." Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey points out that the Trump verdict will likely be overturned after the 2024 election, citing constitutional violations, due process issues, and prosecutorial misconduct. To which
@RepThomasMassie
responds, "The irony here is that this trial was all about trying to influence the [2024] election."

lol, Yep I've pointed it out a few times in different threads that when he gave the SOTU speech this last time he said "fifteen million jobs were added..." and it shocks that the GOP or Trump has not said anything about the way Biden said that(his specific wording).. Why is in that he said "fifteen million jobs were added"(he didn't say "I" added being careful how he said it ) but just threw the fact out there they were added. I guess the GOP just decided to not bring it up(not sure why) but that was the 15 million jobs/people who were out of work during C-19 whose unemployment ended and they went back to work.

Okay now I'm confused again because I'm not sure who is gonna take credit for this but fist Trump said no bump stocks,,,then Texas said they were doing their best to get gun switches that convert guns to machine guns off their streets and then the SC said they were legal?
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/14/us/politics/supreme-court-trump-gun-bump-stocks.html https://www.nbcnews.com/now/video/f...-machine-gun-conversion-switches-212782661792
This is just SCOTUS doing their job. As Antonin Scalia would say "garbage-in, garbage out". It's not their job to re-write legislation correctly for congress or state legislatures.

Yep that's what they said about R/W in the 70's and it only took 50 or so years. I guess their still stuck on re-writing the 1986 immigration bill at the moment. Here in the not so thick anymore Big Thicket(lost 500 million tees to drought again this year) they shoot them every weekend and so I've gotten so used to it I can actually fall asleep at night with it going on. Now it sounds a bit like living in Afghanistan but they screaming Trump/Biden stuff instead Allah stuff,lol...
