I'm so confused, especially on how to find someone with similar views and wants.
It feels like I can never find someone who's serious, or even looking to say more than 'Hey'.

What do you all recommend? It seems like whether in person or online, it just doesn't seem to work.

I'd love advice, or..anything! If it helps, I'm in my early 20s so, any suggestions!

Howdy bunny and welcome to the forum.

A bunny with a sheep avatar... Are you a bunny who identifies as a sheep or a sheep who identifies as a bunny? I'm guessing the latter, as sheep is your picture while sadbunny is your name.

That's okay though. We have a green stuffed owl here who identifies as blue, so we're used to it. (Long story. Don't ask.)

As to your question: I'm 46 and have never found anybody who knows the answer. People will tell you to get out and try new hobbies, volunteer to help with stuff, try online dating... All those may increase your exposure to people in general, and in theory that might increase your random chance of just happening to meet someone you like. But there is no real answer to your question.

Sorry about that.

I'm 46 and have never found the answer to your question. If you do find an answer, please come back to this forum and let me know what it is.

Well if you're willing to take advice from those who haven't found someone yet.

Finding someone gets more difficult practically as you get older. Life settles into the same circle of people with few coming and going for most of us. And generally anything over about an hour away as far as online dating means that someone is going to have to leave their whole life to be with that other person.

The other good point I've heard made is that you have to be out and around people to meet people. If your church has a young adult group, join it. If you have other interests find a group you can do that with.

And then one of the most neglected things is to work your networks, those married ladies at church may have brothers or nephews or sons away at college that would be a good match so make it known that you're looking. And be open to people you trust setting you up.

And while we wish you all the best in such a search, we'd be remiss if we didn't tell you that it could be a while and people who have a life are more attractive than those who come across as being solely on the hunt for a spouse so don't put your life on hold whike you're looking but let your real life start now.

I found someone in the Navy. My point is that it might be easier to find someone if you are with people sharing your interests and worldviews.

Welcome to the site.
The best relationship advice I have seen is Matthew 6:33...seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you...
In doing this, you will first learn to find your satisfaction in God, and not in a potential partner. Second, when we are satisfied in God, we are freed of the need to receive in a relationship and able to give into the relationship the overflow of our relationship with God.

Hi SadBunny,

Welcome to the CC forums.
In spite of the jokes, politics or religious differences, you'll find a few of us are mature enough to get serious if it's appropriate.

We've had a few ladies looking for a relationship on public forums recently, so I'll address this now. Perhaps others will read it too.
Letting those intentions known up front could bring the wrong guys out of the woodwork. If you ever watched that Liam Neeson movie, Taken, that happens in real life situations throughout the world, including America. I'm mentioning this so you are aware of the fact that bad guys look like good guys especially when anonymous.
There are people from professors to police that should not be trusted.
I taught Crime Prevention, Ladies Self Defense, a wide range of areas spanning Personal Protection because I care about innocent people and don't want to see them hurt.

That takes time to get to know someone for it to become a healthy decision IMHO.
I can't speak for others, but for me I can only even start to consider someone who has made >THIS decision.< That's a command from God that I have to obey. That's the foundation for every successful Christian relationship.

I hope the Lord blesses you with the peace and joy that passes all understanding through Christ Jesus .
To your health and happiness.
☕😎👍

I’d like to think I’m a bunny in sheep’s clothing. Still cute, and harmless, but quick :p

Well, better a bunny than a wolf.

I have recently been playing Days Gone (yet another zombie apocalypse game) so I have had my fill of wolves anyway.

I like to think I’m a bit too wide eyed and naive to be a wolf

Here's my 'anything', lol. I know a gal who is a twin and wanted a husband/family. She went on Christian Mingles, met a good guy and now they're married. Her twin sister was so happy for her and they told her to try CM. She then met a devout Christian man and fell in love and are now married. So I'm saying it can happen this way and also as mentioned getting involved in Christian Singles groups and volunteer work, being around Christians.
Also, believe God's promises such as, Mark 11:24
'Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them'. Btw, the Scripture before this says not to doubt (have faith)🙏👍✝🔯😍

if you are a born again Christian, the answer is easy: Jesus! Jesus will find you the correct person. pray to Jesus on this & be SUPER PATIENT!!!!!!!!!! the less patient you are, the longer it seems to take. no, we don't to wait for a date but that's life! God's timing is perfect, He knows what's best for you & He does what's best for you! do you know a pastor, you could ask him. or trusted friends you can ask. that's really about all their is. blessings to you. a quick story for you: once, i asked Jesus to find me a Christian girl. & the Holy Spirit told me in about 4 years! Jesus delivered on about the 204th week. there are 208 weeks in 4 years. i give myself a grade of 90 in waiting!
