That's amazing!

So thoughtful and creative, indeed. :)
You are too kind... also, Karlon has been a fan of my work since he joined...
designing a panel for him and his wife seemed the thing to do rather than
try to express anything about his wife's sister's death beyond condolences.

I show what I do from time to time so people know I am not just slapping my name on someone
else's designs. When people ask about them, I always let them know I am not drawing these things,
but collaging, just like one would with paper cut-outs, only in a digital format. I do a lot of brushwork
at times, erasing, blending, smudging, cloning etc and make many other edits in the process. I source
most things like faces and backgrounds, from sites that make them freely available for others. Anywho...

Now, about Starbucks...

:D

I can't even count how many times I called random women dude or bro on accident lol. Hanging out with my friends really didn't help me out with that since we always used the terms bro and dude. My grandma definitely didn't appreciate me calling her bro. I got a good verbal scolding on that occasion.
We're all dudes.

Dear Steve, thank you so much for the inspiration to finally finish this panel of a woman in a coffee shop,
which I started at the end of October in 2022 but never finished (I had a hard time getting the woman right).
Heh, last night at midnight when I should have been going to bed, I started doing more work on it...

Psalm 27:4
Thank you for the inspiration! .:). (I may work on her a bit more as I am not entirely happy with her neck [LOL]).

I did a search to find out who makes Starbucks food :D

Starbucks has gained popularity since its inception during the 70s. Through the years it has managed
to establish thousands of stores across the world. While Starbucks initially concentrated on selling coffee,
it has since broadened its offerings to include food products. One of the most popular items that people
purchase from this business is breakfast sandwiches.

Most of the time, Starbucks does not serve freshly prepared sandwiches as it doesn’t make these sandwiches.
Starbucks receives its breakfast items via Premium Brands Holding Corp. The firm has worked with Starbucks
since the year 2010. However, it began providing sandwiches to Starbucks in the year 2015. It has since started
creating sandwiches for Starbucks.

Starbucks gets their baked goods such as cupcakes, chocolate or cake from the Steven Charles dessert company.
The company is referred to as SROriginals and is the main supplier of baked goods that are sold in Colorado.

The whole article (<= link) was interesting and cautioned against some of the Starbucks products.

The neck looks good now.😀
Thank you! I made other changes as well, because what was in her cup (which I earlier had added with the hands to replace the original ones) looked more like a waffle than coffee LOL plus I took off the necklace that came with the original figure and gave her a new one, made her head and hair smaller, changed the border/frame set-up, sat her at a table, put cherry blossoms behind her, removed the small lamp that was on the pillar/wall (it was too close and obtrusive near the word "house"), and also added two layers to her jacket to give it pattern and depth, as well as cleaning up other elements, making sure all stray bits that shouldn't be there were removed... and other fiddly things heh.

This is how she looked when I started with her:

After having so much trouble modifying that coffee shop woman, I designed this Psalm 84 panel almost six months later .:)

Psalm 84:10-11 plus 27-4

I know Starbucks is the "big boy" on the block for expresso based coffee....

BUT

There's lots of others anymore and a lot of them actually have good coffee.

A lot of newer equipment is available for making the puck properly....and independently owned shops buy good coffee instead of a more institutional grade bean for roasting.

Just saying....

I haven't been in a Starbucks since I was maybe 18 or 19 years old. The only reason I ever went into the store was because my father is a coffee addict and while helping him out with various things he would always stop at one on the way to take me back home. I've actually never been a fan of coffee they serve at those kinds of places. If I'm ever in the mood for coffee, which is extremely rare btw, I just drink it plain. I rarely get the desire for coffee though because it effects me differently than most people. It tends to make me extremely tired but it also makes my heart rate speed up so much that I can't sleep. It's like added torture to my insomnia since it makes me more tired than I usually am but my physical body shakes with each heartbeat.

I give it a 0/10 in effectiveness but the flavor is decent.

I do hope I'm the 3,000 miles away kind, if these are the only available options. :p
I would be curious to know if you are 3,000 miles away (I'm in WA, USA), but judging by how many cousins I have, we may very well be related.

Yup, 3,000 miles away. I have a friend up in that corner but I'm in Tennessee.

This is a relief. Of all the options provided, I am glad I turned out to be the 3,000 miles away one. I'd HATE to be one of the others.

I didn't know Starbucks offered breakfast sandwiches...

We have a new Starbucks here... Maybe I need to check that out?
Oh yeah. I discovered the Starbucks breakfasts when I traveled with my mom and friends to the east coast and all of them wanted to sleep till noon everyday, and Starbucks next to our hotel saved me from starvation. And I don't drink coffee.

It was rather strange, though, being in D.C. and having the menu still referencing the Pike Place Market and such that I know from living most of my life in the vicinity of Seattle. But then again, the best snack at the gas station in Connecticut was produced in the Skagit Valley (two counties north of Seattle), so apparently my homeland travels well.

Oh dear, that does rather look as though I was disparaging your relatives. I apologize, as I have never even met any of them, much less have any evidence at all that they are bad people.

It's Ok. I didn't figure it was an intentional slight, but thanks for the apology anyway.
