The Time of Visitation
For the past six thousand years, God has worked in the nations of the earth to bring about his will, above all, the nation of Israel. God has established “set times of visitation” according to his word, set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David. (Psalms 122:5)
Most people do not know or understand what the times of visitation mean because they never study the scriptures; therefore, they are blind to what God is doing in the kingdoms of men. God has set in motion certain events that will come about according to his prophetic word. Many things have come to pass, and many more will come to pass in the fullness of time.
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the Sower, and bread to the eater, so shall “my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,” and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10,11)
When Yeshua was sent to his own, he was rejected; he was the prophet Moses spoke of.
“I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto you, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.” (Deuteronomy 18:18)
Therefore, when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law. (Galatians 4:4) The woman that made him was Jerusalem above the mother of us all. So, God put words in his mouth, yet they rejected him and the message sent unto them. God often extended his mercy to Israel by sending prophets to them, giving them a chance to repent before their judgment. God spoke through the prophet Jeremiah, saying, “You have forsaken me, saith the Lord, you are gone backward: therefore, I will stretch out my hand against you, and destroy you; I am weary with your repenting.” (Jeremiah 15:6)
It was the same when Yeshua was sent unto them. He told them, “If you had only known your day, and the things which belong unto you and your peace! But now all these things are hidden from your eyes. For the days shall come upon you, and your enemies shall cast a trench about you, encircle you, and keep you within the city on every side. They shall lay you even with the ground and your children within you, and they “shall not leave within the city one stone upon another” because you did not know the time of your visitation.” (Luke 19:42-44)
In another place, it says, “Yeshua went out and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple. And Yeshua said unto them, See all of these things? I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” (Matthew 24:1,2)
The same will happen to the Gentiles because they will not acknowledge the time of their visitation.
“I will also gather all nations and bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.” (Joel 3:2)
In 70 CE, as prophesied by Yeshua, the siege of Jerusalem unfolded, marking a turning point in the Jewish-Roman war. This historic event saw the Roman army, led by the formidable Titus, who would later become emperor of Rome, lay siege to Jerusalem, the stronghold of Jewish resistance in the Roman province of Judea. Paul's words carry a profound message, using the Jewish people's experiences as a cautionary tale. He warns the Gentile to be vigilant lest they face a similar fate.
The Apostle Paul wrote warning the Gentiles concerning their attitude toward the Jews.
“If some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them you partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boastful toward the natural branches. If you boast, understand that you do not bear the root, but the root bears you.
How can you say, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. It was because of their unbelief they were broken off and you stand by faith. So, don’t be self-righteous, but fear Elohim. If Elohim [God] did not spare the natural branches, beware lest he also not spare you.
Behold, the goodness, mercy, and harshness of Elohim [God] on those which fell harshness will also come on you, but goodness, if you continue in his mercy, otherwise you will also be cut off. If they abide not still in unbelief, they shall be grafted in again for Elohim [God] is able to graft them in again.
If you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature and were grafted into the root contrary to nature into a good olive tree how much more shall these, which by nature are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree.
I hope brethren, that you will not be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should think of yourselves to be wise in your own arrogance. Israel is “partially blinded,” until the fulness of the Gentiles is finished.” (Romans 11:17-25)
He is saying don’t be exalted within yourselves because the Jew is only partially blinded, and the Gentiles only see in part. That is why he said, now we see through a glass darkly.
“Therefore, let us fear, lest a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” (Hebrews 4:1,2,11)
“God did not spare the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly. God turned the cities of Sodom and Gomora into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, “making them an example” unto those that after should live ungodly.” (2 Peter 2:5,6)
“Knowing the time (time of visitation), that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now, is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” (Romans 13:11)
