Some guidelines I would like to have others agree to, but you don't have to, you are free not to, would be these. Whatever we post, should be consistent and non-self-contradictory, our thought processes can't go off into realms where we believe or promote two opposing thoughts. "God is not the author of confusion." We admit that it's ok to say "I don't know" and still be happy in the Lord. That really, and I'm asking if you agree, that what we, and all the world truly want, is the Truth. What is really, really true. "Ye shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free." I want clarity of thought, life in my heart, and peace in my soul while pursuing the "knowledge of the Holy." "That I might know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent", "to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ." Be at ease if you do not know the reference addresses to verses in the bible. They were invented by a Catholic Monk in the 12th/13th century and are not in the original text of the Holy Scriptures. Even the writer of the book of Hebrews said, and I'm paraphrasing, "someone said somewhere,..." Ha! A person used by God to write the Holy Scriptures didn't care, and apparently God also didn't care, whether or not he referenced the old testament author/prophet precisely. Like I said, let's be casual, but clear for each other's edification. My primary desire for joining Christian Chat is to find like-minded believers that enjoy biblical discussion while being aware that the Lord is listening. I can't find this kind of fellowship anywhere and hope this place may fill a void in my life. Thanks so much. john
