You must be of another generation. Not the one that said " you'll eat it and you'll like it"!

Perhaps cakes and muffins have been poorly made? Have you ever tried a bakery? Store bought stuff is bad, no taste.
When I was a kid we were relatively poor so we didn't have much variety in our food. Mainly top ramen and cheap hot dogs were our meals. We had other things on occasion, but that was the majority of the meals. With how little variety we had while growing up, I have no idea how I turned into such a picky eater. The pork dislike is the only thing that makes sense to me since we never ate it other than in the horrible hotdogs that always had bone fragments in them. I still can't eat any meat on the bone because of that lol. Oh, I also don't like top ramen either. makes me sick to my stomach every time nowadays. As for cakes and muffins, they're just too bready for me. I don't know why I don't like bread, considering pizza is my favorite food. But it seems anything that is bready heavy is a no go for me. Mostly because it's dry, but I also just don't like the texture or the flavor. So, no bagels either. They're too chewy, dry, and the flavor is weird.

Yep, sounds like my father, we call what he ate a "poor mans diet". Baloney was poor mans steak. Not a huge fan of baloney myself. Just putting it out there but have you ever had or heard of a poke cake? It's my hubby's favorite type of cake, other than carrot cake.

That reminds me that we on occasion had the same brand of bologna that we had for the hotdogs. the bologna also had bone chunks lol. I don't eat that now as well for obvious reasons. I just googled poke cake, that could be a tolerable cake. If it's not dry and has a good amount of fruit or something in it for some flavor, I would try that.

I like licorice, I just don't like the black kind. Does that make me a racist?
 Black licorice is the superior licorice. All of this food talk is making me hungry and now I want some black licorice as well.

I cannot answer the question this thread poses, as I would be ostracized from society. People become aghast and get all upset and argumentative every time I mention I don't like this food.

It doesn't matter what color it is, licorice tastes terrible and stinks, and it give those who eat it bad breath.

My wife loves it, and her favorite prank to play on me kiss me when she finishes eating a stick.

Avocado. They're just too strange in too many ways.

I do not like sushi or pineapple on pizza. Both ghastly imo.
Pepperoni and pineapple pizza was my favorite for a long time. Now I only get it maybe once every few years. I still consider it to be good though.

I despise Spam. But I do admire that someone was ingenious enough to take inedible animal parts and mash them together, surround it with an unknown gelatinous substance, and sell it for a profit.
yes lol spam to me is terrible only one person my grandfather showed me how to make spam good and that's using a stove, where as others would tell me that eating it cold is good but, I couldn't hardly stand it even with macaroni🥴

I feel like spam was created for some sort of nefarious purpose. I don't know what that purpose is, but I do know that nothing that tastes so horrible could have been created for benevolent reasons.

Name a food that you don't like that nearly everyone else likes. I do not like, at all, warm or hot desserts!
I can name quite a few lol but, it all depends on resources available with it or how it's prepared like...
those frozen chicken nuggets at save a lot my family says they are good cold but, not for me same with spam though most anything I will bear to eat if I have resources to ignore said preparation like Barbecue sauce😋, or cheese like another popular food Doritos cool ranch I'll stomach them if necessary but, much prefer nacho cheese, hmm though out of most every popular food probably the worst to me would be Okra I realize it's healthy but, man strong stuff🥴

agreed lol😁
I think it was a failed experiment by single or lazy people to have something fast to eat that was just a little different from bologna or ham🥴

Haha that's what it seems like. As much as I hate bologna, I would eat that over spam if I was forced to pick between that and spam. Spam to me tastes like bologna but the flavor is 10 times as strong and drenched in salt.
