False.
1Th 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.(second coming reference)
1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord (second coming reference) shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven (second coming reference) with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (the resurrection of the dead in Christ)
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (the rapture)
Here we see the second coming mentioned 3 times, then the resurrection and then the rapture. This proves the rapture is connected to the second coming. All that needs to be proven is when the second coming happens to know when the rapture happens.
Agreed the whole idea of a seven year tribulation period is based on interpreting the things and numbers in revelation literally rather than reading the doctrine in the epistles that makes it perfectly clear that should be taken literally
“For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that
we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For
the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and
with the trump of God:
and
the dead in Christ shall rise first:
then
we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
Jesus return suddenly
The dead are raised up
believers are all raised up with Jesus
the earth is destroyed by fire
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
for
the trumpet shall sound,
and
the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 KJV
After the believers are raised up that day at the last trump
“and to you who are troubled
rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all
them that believe in that day.”
2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 KJV
It always returns to the same doctrines
“Marvel not at this:
for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth;
they that have done good, unto the
resurrection of life;
and they that have done evil, unto the
resurrection of damnation.”
John 5:28-29
There was a resurrection when Jesus came the first time for his people of the prior covenant before he came the first time he promised them
“Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people,
I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.”
Ezekiel 37:12
and then he came and fulfilled it
“and
the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.”
Matthew 27:52-53 KJV
He made another promise when he had come that will last until he returns and then it will be fulfilled upon his return again
