What a useful space to talk of whatever is on our minds.
As I read of Jesus saying 'follow me', I wonder what compelled the first disciples such as Peter to drop all they were doing and do just that? Levi, Mathew, the tax collector, only needed a quick prompt and away he went, leaving a very lucrative though unpopular business. At this stage, I wonder if they knew much about Jesus? Yet they jumped into the deep end and never regretted it, except Judas.

God be with all the peoples in the North Central States as terrible storms race across our Country. Those who were effected last night, and those who are facing danger this morning.
Here yesterday afternoon it was 84. This morning it is 27 with a lower "feels like." We are blessed because we have not had the tornado threat and severe thunder storm threats.

I like how (in the Old Testament) the need to be redeemed was so prevalent long before the "Redeemer" came to earth....
Redemption then delt with being freed from bondage (slavery).

The wild fire in Texas, and now into Oklahoma, is getting worse. God be with all of the peoples in its parth, and with the firefighters trying to contain it. So much destruction. Two people have died, and countless numbers of animals as well. The land itself is being ravaged. IMO, God will have to intervene to make a rapid difference in the control and extinguishing of this fire.
As well, prayers for all those in California and other States that are being hit with the biggest snow storm this Winter. Some places getting seven to ten feet of snow.......goodness. Again, property damage, as well as numerous accidents taking place. I do not know if any have died because of the storm, but prayers are needed.
