“For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. ( Jesus had told them a parable just beforhand now he’s explaining it to them )

When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart.

This is he which received seed by the way side.

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word,( of the kingdom ) and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth,

some an hundredfold,

some sixty,

some thirty.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:17-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, for the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:3-6‬ ‭

“For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:28, 30-31‬ ‭

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭

The gospel is the seed and our hearts are the soil like seeds planted in soil belief will bear fruit if we allow the seeds to be planted and makes sure the birds don’t eat them up and make sure we remove all the thorns as we see them if we tend our soil the fruits will grow

I really like this, brother. I'm trying to relate it to my own Christian journey and even though the seed of God's Word fell on good soil overall with me, it requires tending and oversight, or I can have troubles on the farm.

There is seed that has fallen by the wayside throughout the years, and Satan is quite crafty at snatching it up before it takes root. Of course, he wants to replace that seed with his deception and perversion whenever possible.

I definitely have a lot of stony ground that needs to be tilled as well. I remember when I was converted, there was great joy. However, when the trials and sacrifices came, I wasn't quite as joyful for a time.

There are a lot of thorns on my property as well, and I still get tangled up in them from time-to-time. I am quite engaged in this world, and I can easily get snared into materialism and "the pleasures of life" that can take me away from my focus on God and the Gospel.

indeed since the first man ever he’s been snatching away truth

“I definitely have a lot of stony ground that needs to be tilled as well. I remember when I was converted, there was great joy. However, when the trials and sacrifices came, I wasn't quite as joyful for a time.”

indeed sounds like the recalling of a journey being traversed and life lived . Sometimes the boy joyful thing we have at the time given circumstances is the promises he made that we can’t see yet those ones that are for after we part this world

“There are a lot of thorns on my property as well, and I still get tangled up in them from time-to-time. I am quite engaged in this world, and I can easily get snared into materialism and "the pleasures of life" that can take me away from my focus on God and the Gospel.”

indeed I could say the same as I think most could admit at times we need to let the patient Gardner convict our conscience and remove the unfruitful branches so we’ll bear better fruit

i like the fact that God promised that the words he spoke would be the effectual cause of righteousness springing forth and then proclaims anyone who believes will be saved

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:6-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. ….For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:8, 11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it makes this make sense to me

“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness,

hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭

We’re saved by this same power

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1, 4-5, 9-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It makes sense that God through the writers of His Word uses nature imagery to express important ideas to His people who understand an agrarian lifestyle. Two of the annual Jewish festivals center around the spring harvest (Feast of Weeks--aka. First Fruits and later Pentecost for Christians) and the larger fall harvest (Feast of Tabernacles).

The verses you use from Isaiah 55 show us that we as God's people are an important harvest for Him. Just as rain and snow nourish the earth and bring forth an abundance of produce on good soil, God's Word touches our minds, hearts, and souls to yield good fruit and prosperity from us.

God loves justice and truth, and He has made an "everlasting covenant" with us in the new life we have through Jesus Christ. Because of all the rain in due season and warmth from the sun's rays that God showers us with, we respond with "righteousness and praise" before others as we thank our gracious and giving God.

Indeed brother everlasting covenant

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:23-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah , And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”
