As someone outside the US, I see him (Trump) as a liar, misogynist, adulterer, totally corrupted by love of power and a person who has total contempt for the laws in the US and it's judicial system!

And US Christians still want him as their President!

LOL!
I would agree that Trump has been all of the first four. But the last is yet to be proven. Even as counts are added up against him, it is clear he cannot get a fair hearing. If you are familiar with the cases against him, you would know that all that he is facing is politically motivated. And the corruption of the justice system in America is on display. Corrupt judges and prosecutors are using their positions to harm Trump politically, and sending a message that those who try to upset the political corruption will pay a high price.
One doesn't have to find Trump to be a decent human being to see the need for someone like him in a position of power. If someone isn't elected who can clean up the morass at the highest levels, we are done as a nation. America will still exist probably, but the world will drastically change. I don't think most people really understand this, nor the depth of the corruption that exists in governments around the world. And while this battle is largely spiritual, a loss here will result in great human suffering and loss of untold lives.
I appreciate that Trump is not by Godly standards a good man, as you have pointed out. That doesn't mean he's not what is necessary to make the changes that need to be made.

I find it rather ironic that the "conservatives" with regards to Bill Clinton went on about his sexual immorality as sign of his lack of integrity and therefore unfit to be a leader/president somehow Trump gets a pass.

No wonder the "left" regard conservatives as hypocrites.

Clinton lied under oath. He committed perjury. That was the charge.
Also, you picked out one thing and missed the salient points. At least give a fair reading.

I am addressing the dialogue of conservatives at the time before he lied under oath.

I missed nothing, I remember the conservative talking heads very well going on about how the man was cheating on his wife and lacked integrity and therefore he was unfit to lead.

BTW...you were right about Christians being deceived. But it didn't negate the points I was making to the other poster before. Your last post was a good example. You imply that I somehow excuse Trump's behavior while not for another. My objection to Clinton was his disregard for the law.

Sure this argument was made by some. But to apply that to all isn't fair or accurate. And most of those talking heads were RINOS.

Oh yes he is shifty alright. Not a white knight by any means.

But compared to the competition....Trump is a creampuff, a squeaky clean choirboy.

Could it all go south in a Trump presidency? Sure. But its all going south RIGHT NOW and in a very bad way.

So good luck America. You are gonna need it.

I was addressing, speaking about "conservatives" I have no knowledge of your views at that time.

It is conservatives/religious right that concern me, I have read your posts I can see you do not excuse Trump's behaviour.

Again just a general observation.

Always good to dig further, I am saddened each day by the fact that Christians are deceived, I feel it has to be acknowledged because "Christianity" is not in a good place right now. imho.

great.

but, it is 100% being pushed elsewhere...

I find my self having to remember to sling mud at the Democrats every once in while because they haven't had power for so long in Texas, lol ... For the most part all the political commercials on TV here in Texas are one Republican running against another Republican(Dunn and Wilks are replacing the Republicans who wont do what they say with ones who will= Civil war among the R's in Texas)...

Could be some were but not all, I would have to go back and refresh my memory.

To the left "rinos" is not really a thing in my experience when I have conversations with them, they just see them as moderates or small c conservatives.

Rush was just getting started in the late 80's. Fox as well. There were very few conservative voices before then...just pseudo-conservatives.

That is an interesting take, lol.
It's true. There are many conservative voices today. But during the 80's there were not. Cable was all the rage and more voices were being heard, but MSM was what was readily available. It was a much different time.

The other party hasn't been in charge for almost 30 years in Texas so no one is pushing those things here... https://www.texasmonthly.com/news-politics/billionaire-tim-dunn-runs-texas/ (A Richards was the last Dem.)
Maybe that’s our problem? We’re not familiar with the atrocities going on in the rest of the country. To be honest I’ve never heard of drag queen story hour unless back when we were clearing out real shady places shy of both a liquor license and fire escapes.😂

You are funny. :D
I mean that in the best possible way!!

Yes I am indeed a poor innocent waif who never saw or lived through the 70's, 80's or 90's.... was uninformed of the world around me and had no access to the outside world, sheltered and bereft of any real connection to the politics of those days.

Left and right were just different sides of my body, ohh those were the days!!

Where indeed were those conservative voices, there was no print, no radio, no tv, no platform at all for the religious right and/or conservatives to make their views known to the world at large only the Rinos ruled the air waves!!!

;)

What are we to say then? That Christian resolve does indeed make a difference?

Salt and light maybe?
