In keeping with that celebration:

Condoleezza Rice is the first woman and first African American to serve as provost of Stanford University. In 2001, Rice was appointed national security adviser by President George W. Bush, becoming the first African American woman (and woman) to hold the post, and went on to become the first Black woman to … See more

31 History Making Black Americans

(excerpt)

When it comes to pioneers in African American history, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Maya Angelou, James Baldwin, and Muhammad Ali are often mentioned—and rightfully so. But what do you know about other Black history heroes, like Claudette Colvin, Alice Coachman, or Shirley Chisholm? If their names don't immediately ring a bell, you're not alone. Educators, activists, and historians have long been attempting to shine a light and pinpoint why so much African American history is missing from our nation's curriculum. It should be recognized that a large part of America's notable history includes African American history, innovation, and creativity.

Rice was appointed national security adviser by President George W. Bush, becoming the first African American woman (and woman) to hold the post...
Could this have ever happened if there was "systemic" racism in America? Could Black Barack Obama have attained to the position of president -- not once but twice -- if there was presently "systemic" racism in America? And one could list a whole roster of Blacks who were not held back by their color. Yet Woke Culture is promoting this lie about "systemic racism" today so that there will be racial tensions in America on an on-going basis. This is another aspect of how Communism/Marxism has taken hold of America and divide and conquer is in full force.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams Boasts His Administration Is Full of “Chocolate” Members, Proceeds to Compare Himself to Jesus (VIDEO)
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/02/nyc-mayor-eric-adams-boasts-his-administration-is/

Here is a deluded man who has thoroughly destroyed New York City but is now using the race card to avoid being held accountable. And this is repeated over and over again with various Black individuals who refuse to be held accountable.

We need to knock this crap off. No more months devoted to specific groups. Everyone in America is an AMERICAN. Your race or sex is thoroughly irrelevant.

I think the OP meant well, so maybe we need to go easy here. But, brothers and sisters, we need to knock this off.

So, I guess in keeping with the thoughts here, we need to do away with all the Christian celebration days? I mean, that is singling out one group of people and forsaking the rest.

Seriously, there is no harm in recognizing the cultural, racial differences between our Citizens. God created the different peoples of the world. If He wanted all to be "one race/culture" He certainly could have created them that way. He certainly wants the different peoples to become "one people" as part of the "One Church," but, that does not exclude various peoples of various cultures/races from being part of the "One Church,"

We, as Americans, celebrate various Holidays honoring some of the Founding Fathers, and our Independence from England, our Veterans, our love for one another(Valentines), our thankfulness for the blessings we have received(Thanksgiving). All of these, in one way or the other are divisive, and then they should all be done away with, right?

I remember when the "push" to remove all Civil War Era/Confederate Statues was going on. Some here believed they should not be removed. Certainly we can agree that such Statues are divisive in their own way......

We celebrate an Italian sailor who discovered the West Indies/Central America as being responsible for discovering North America. Even though we know perfectly over six milliion people already lived here. Goodness, but it's the celebration of Black History that irks folks?

We celebrate the Italian sailor because of what he did, not because he was Italian. We celebrate Christmas because it's GOD, and people of all races celebrate that day. We celebrate our founding fathers, Independence Day, and Thanksgiving, and they all have nothing to do with race. Those days honor what people accomplished, and what God gave us. In none of your examples does race matter one iota.

As long as we "celebrate" racial differences, or highlight them, we are being racist, however benign our intentions may be. We make ourselves hyper-aware of skin color rather than what the person(s) achieved. That latter qualification can and should be celebrated regardless of where the individual's ancestors were born.

Each of the "celebrations" I posted are (in their own way) exclusive to one group of people. IMO, it is racist to deny a certain group of people the right to recognize and celebrate the contributions they have made to their Country.

For far too many years, the ONLY American History taught in the Public School System was "white" History. There is no denying this. Personally, I find it racist that people want to deny me the right to recognize and celebrate the contributions my ancestors made to this Country. Be they my German ancestors, Jewish ancestors, Irish ancestors, Cherokee ancestors, or African American ancestors.

But, hey, my Great, great Uncle was hung as a horse thief because he owned and was riding a horse "white" men believed no n*^%%$* could own, Wonder what they were celebrating?

Not sure who is denying anybody anything.

But this “celebrating” a race of people has directly led to the hate we see in this clip.
So when people say things like “why can’t we teach history through CRT?”
They either don’t know what it’s about, or actually agree with the hateful teaching.

In keeping with the theme....

America's first missionary....
(Which is ALWAYS SPECIAL)

George Liele.

George had been born a free man his wife was not. George had been preaching to the slave populations in various locations with a strong bent towards the 10 commandments....teaching often that they shouldn't lie or steal and was highly successful in starting churches among the slaves. (Georgia).
However, there was a civil war afoot....and since the Colonists wanted to enslave George he decided that he and his family needed to run. So they caught a ride with the retreating British troops and got deposited in Jamaica. Where he began preaching the gospel once again and founded 100+ more churches.

Contrasted with Adoniram Judson (Baptist) who for decades had been claimed to be the first....an abject failure of a missionary who lost his wife due to illness and had one convert only and his faith was rather poor at that.

Here's the Wikipedia link:

If you read the comments, you will see that there are those that are supporting doing away with Black History Month. That pretty much is "denying" people from celebrating the contributions of black Americans to our Country. They state it is "racist" to have Black History Month, That is just dumb!

Americans of all races celebrating Black History Month is the polar opposite of racism. All Americans celebrating together is "unifying," not racist, Goodness.......

Really? How many of the Founding Fathers were black? Oh, that's right, none of them, the only blacks were the slaves the Founding Fathers owned, BTW, it was the Founding Fathers who included in our Constitution the fact that blacks were ONLY WORTH 3/5ths of what a white man is worth. Nothing to do with race?

As for Thanksgiving: The first Thanksgiving was celebrated by white illegal aliens and Native Americans together. It was probably the only "pure" Thanksgiving this Nation has ever celebrated. Why? Shortly after that first celebration, the white illegal aliens went to war with the Native Americans. Those they didn't kill, they rounded up and shipped off to the far west on barren lands considered worthless. That is until gold was discovered on those lands, then the Native Americans were rounded up again and shipped off to even more worthless lands. It would be almost impossible to count the number of times our Government broke Legal Treaties with various Native Tribes,

Another interesting point to consider is:

When the American Calvary won a battle against Native Americans, it was hailed as a great victory! When Native Americans won a battle against the American Calvary, it was branded as a "massacre." Nothing to do with race? Seriously?

Now, to be sure, there are racist on all sides. One clear example is the Black Lives Matters Movement. Seriously racist! But to deny the racism among white Americans is just plain ludicrous ,

There is zero racism in peoples celebrating Black History Month.

Why just one month?

This man alone should have a month as far as I'm concerned.

There were people known as a 'Russophiles', and these are believed to have developed as a backlash from 'Polonoization.'
However, I would consider myself a Rosophile because I'm rather partial to roses. Does the term 'racist' connote a love of race or more accurately denote a hate?
