What the **** made you think the Navy would recruit them?
No disrespect towards you or the Navy.
All this talk of Deployment just reminds me of the times we are in and sometimes use humor to address serious subjects. I blame it on watching too many re-runs of MASH.

I don't.
I just can't miss a chance to poke fun at the dude who identifies as a woman AND a 4 Star Admiral.
Sounds like you are a navy girl.
How would you like Miss America leading your fleet?
😆

That would not be possible in the Navy or in other branches than the noncombatant part of the military.

Formally there’s no obstacle to that in the Navy, but the Navy is obliged to take into consideration how it would influence the organization, and how it would be used by our adversaries propaganda strategists.

One could easily argue that the Navy would not benefit from the unrest this would cause.

I’m an officer so it’s not technically reenlisting. I have already gone back to the service a couple of times before.

I’m Texan!
This came up earlier today in my news feed.

You're probably already familiar with what's going on at your Southern border and moreso than I am. It's just what I was referring to. There's no Red Dawn war scenario like in the Ukraine. Rather it's the silent, soft invasion of foreign troops. Since you are military, I understand that you don't want to get into a political discussion. I was just wondering if you have any insight that you can share?

I think I’ll be going back to the service. I’m too restless for this “normal life”.

How do you people handle restlessness? I have tried everything but my mind keeps wandering away from where I am.
fortunately, for me, i have an interest in many hobbies. suits me well in the winter when not working. restlessness can occur from a lack of ambition, "getting started" in other words. self-motivation is within us. to initiate yourself, try using excitement with a smile 7 day something like this: 'today, i'm going to read my favorite book, then study the Bible & then i'm going to........." anyone who is productive on a daily basis feels the satisfaction of doing so. to manage work 1st &play later always helps. maybe assistance from a freeing should be sought after. there are foods that are "brain" foods; spinach, fish & blueberries are some of them. may you inherit God's blessings.

I dunno... For me getting started is the hard part.

No way. That much motivation would be bad for my digestion.

I think that's true for everybody. I've always said, "The hardest part of any task it to get just started." But, while you're doing it you're like, "hey look at me... I'm doing it!" and then you're like, "Wow, I did it." Then before long, you're like, "what else is there?"

Haven’t got much to offer here. My impression is that much of what is going on is due to incompetence rather than willful actions. Despite of whom we put into office.

There’s the corrupted people looking for easy money, and then there’s the narcissistic people looking for a chance to look good in the common eye.

i did hear that of course and its under the Biden Administration
A lot of good ones have left the last couple years and those remaining who want to keep their jobs are ordered to process them. There's been some journalist covering it, but like usual, the mainstream are covering it up.
I'm guessing that you are selective on your sources of information. Good for you!

You can find rotten eggs everywhere. A border will always attract activists and corrupt people.
Agreed.
Unfortunately, it's beyond out of hand.

I hope the best for your state. A lot of Californians look like they took over Austin. May it stop there. We got a lot of socialists from Cali too. They messed up their own state, so now they moved where they can afford and get into key.political positions.

Both Democrats and Republicans have been too laidback about the border. We can see the results in form of illegal aliens flooding into America. In my twenties I was stationed at the border for a period and if people knew the enormous size of the border they’d realize that border security is dependent on massive funding. No administration has found reason to fund border security adequately.

We’ll better make sure that they become real Texans before they get to take any positions.😂

Paris…ofcourse!

That’s why French is her first language…:p
I digress!

Susanna:

Restlessness...My approach to this would be, instead of going back into the military, I would diligently seek the Lord, and hear from Him what the cause of it is, and what is His answer for it. Isaiah 40v31, Psalm 118v14

I don't know how long you have been saved, but what I do is take a Bible and a hymn book and go and sit in His Presence, and pray and wait on Him.

Having had a Pentecostal experience (many years ago), I find praying very quietly in tongues to be most helpful (as did Paul the apostle). 1Cor 14v2,4,15,18,28, Jude v20,21, Luke 11v9-13
