Magenta always posts colourful haired people with scriptures had you not even noticed. And many of them have magenta coloured hair...which is not a natural hair colour I know of

And shes about the only one on the forum who posts in magenta coloured font type. I dont know why, but it must be important to her.

She posts that way because she wants to be different and stand out from the crowd...
I personally don't think that the color is necessary because her intelligence stands out above most (including you).

But @Magenta is also highly creative and has been doing digital art for a long time as a hobby. I've mentioned this for years now. Magenta does art...I don't. I'm not sufficiently qualified to judge her work as an artist. I like it as she is skilled. But I guess I never noticed the various hair colors of her female characters. I just see the art.

I just don't know what that's got to do with being 'woke' as you were implying in your previous post that it was bad and you didn't like 'unnatural colours' . Unless being woke is about being different and standing out from the crowd...hmm?

And therefore 'woke' people maybe just have an intelligence that stands out..or they are creatives and want to be different, or just want to do something artistic with their hair.

The term "woke" refers to a group of people who over emphasize their/others minority status in American society. This status is often LGBTQ in nature with odd pronouns of sexuality instead of the binary genders. These people are often violently offended about anything that anyone could say in a innocuous conversation.

Every individual has some sort of characteristic that makes them a unique individual. It's part of a self identity that stands above the masses and creates enough pride to permit them functionality in society through self worth. Without it people become self loathing and suicidal.

What I find interesting is that the characteristic that people often take pride in or choose to promote the most is often NOT their best attribute but one that people value less. Dunno why either.

For example Magenta likes and promotes herself through the color of her namesake....but her theological knowledge and intelligence is way above average...but she promotes her artistic talents above her intelligence. She definitely has much to take pride in and I'm sure that her knowledge has assisted many in finding the truths they seek.

Even your nome-de-plume of "lanolin" is something that is the exact opposite of the personality you exhibit in your writing style here. But considering that you are from OZ it's to be expected. But then after a bit, your best attribute of your inquisitive nature comes to light....asking things that we so often take for granted that they are overlooked.

Minority in what way..

I thought woke really had to do with Black lives matter. Nothing to do with LBTQA. 'Rainbow Pride' is the other thing. You may be confusing the two. I like colour and diversity because I grew up in a multicultural city. I like biodiversity because everyone has to get along...we are human, but we also bring entire ecosystems with us. It's not because of some identity thing...everyone is unique in their individual ways but people long to fit in too. It's hard to fit in when everyone else around you does not look like you or talk like you.

I was thinking of hair colour, because it is women who mainly get their hair dyed, or wear wigs, (or beehives) while men aren't so fussed as long as its shaved. But then there's those lawyers wigs that the Brits used to wear esp in the Regency period and they were generally white, I suppose to make them look older and wiser.

In the bible there is a lot of emphasis on hair colour, red hair is mentioned a lot for men (David, Esau, the entire nation of Edom) and fair (blonde) hair for women. In fact Book of Esther is all about someone passing for a different race, because of her hair colour. Jewish people apparently stood out but Esther passed as she was fair. And the King only wanted fair virgins i.e Blonde skinny young women. But actually she was Jewish.

How's that for a plot twist. And she spent a whole year on beauty treatments. The King only cared what she looked like, not that she read books. He banished his first wife because she wouldn't parade around letting men gawk at her.

It could be she was fair skinned too, but its more men tend to prize blonde haired women above brunettes even if they have pale skin. With dark skinned people, blonde hair looks unusual. And woe betide if you have black hair you can't do much with it.

Pale skinned people go into tanning booths or get tattoos while dark skinned people sometimes go to great efforts to bleach their skin.

It was said in Genesis the angels saw women who were fair and they immediately wanted them for wives. Sarah was fair.
In Corinthians you have the odd passage about hair coverings for women, because of the angels. Did angels have a thing for hair?
And of course orthodox Jews want their women to shave their own hair off and wear wigs. I don't know why, but maybe it's tempting for men.
If you are african American and have the 'afro' so called majority beauty standards are not going to apply to you. You can't toss your hair around when it's a mass of tight curls and its hard to brush. While straight hair, which seems like its in... can be boring, which is why women often perm it.

And do you have any idea how long it takes to keep and maintain long hair. In the Bible, about a year to get oneself beautiful lol.

Anyway. I'm not Lanolin because of the colour sheep grease is kind of waxy and doesn't really have a colour. its more to moisturise your skin no matter what colour it is. If I were to have an animal ID it would actually be panda because they are black AND white.

Where you live it may be mostly women. Where I live there are a lot of guys who are putting all kinds of colors in their hair too.

Minority status also applies to sexual perversion lifestyles. It can refer to ethnic minority status as well as anything that makes you a minority group of people.

Since the advent of social media standing out and being unique has gone to insane levels in order to be unique. From women selling pornography of their physical appearance and sex to people engaging in risky acrobatics and other risky situations to prove they have abilities others do not.

If you go "viral" you can become "wealthy" and stand out because of your wealth.

It's nonsense but people do stupid stuff all the time for the ego strokes society is fickle about giving. But the extreme is not attractive anymore...where it once was celebrated the morality pendulum is swinging the other way.

Several cities have been firing DEI agents. (DEI=diversity, equity, inclusion) Which were there to basically give minorities extra rights and privileges of stealing, rioting, and violent, destructive behaviors. And then once these agents were fired the police have been rounding up all these troublemakers and throwing them in jail to stay for a few years.

I see a person, unidentifiable as far as gender with neon green hair and I don't want to go anywhere near them. I see someone with neon pink hair and I think the same thing.

However....redheads? Hey...they are normal. Even if it's considered a brassy shade of red. I will talk to them...they aren't trying to make some sort of political statement about how sexual perversion is normal.

There was a lady that had neon pink hair (probably a wig? ) who was a science professor at university speaking about the effects of Covid. she was on tv and media were interviewing her, as she was an expert on the virus. She had a lot of scientific knowledge and seemed very wise, yet she had shocking pink hair.

Lots of people (men?) were hating on her and she received death threats and unkind comments because of her hair. It was so weird.

I think they rather preferred a dyed blonde newsreader who read things off the autocue than a professor with neon pink hair.

I mean all the female newsreaders were the same, bottle blonde wearing loads of makeup.

Clowns are scary. I do recall Ronald MCDonald was a clown. Maccas has to change their image and no longer have him selling hamburgers. Also they do not have the hamburglar anymore. He was this purple blob thing.
