Surprisingly, I've seen videos of Iraqi crowds at Sodom Hussein political speeches with full auto AKs. We never saw that at Hussein Obama rallies. We were told that they attacked 2001 because they hated our freedom.
I don't think they copied our bill of rights.
No disrespect to my veteran friends. Politicians are making money and making the calls.
Once operation Iraqi freedom flourished, anyone found carrying unconcealed was treated as a target and shot on site. Most people became allies of American forces, but their whole first world infrastructure was turned to rubble. They are tough people to have so many survive without weapons, major water systems and electricity for so many years.
you make a good point, every country we 'liberate' should have a right to bare arms shouldn't they?

There's nothing good about guns, except maybe hunting. Not even sport. Just hunting.
This is just my view of course, because I realize that people have like 50 registered guns.
i think there is a verse in the bible that says it best, nothing is evil in itself

I believe that God granted that right which is supposed to be protected by our 2nd. All people do have legitimate right to protect their families even without a 2A. Most have been conquered from within and are accustomed to that. They are at the mercy of their aggressors since their own protection agencies are usually corrupt or unable to be everywhere where a crime is taking place.

im not sure whats happening now we had a shooting in downtown Auckland not solely race related but poverty and gangs are a big problem with ram raids and people just going crazy, department of corrections often do 'home detentions' with electronic bracelets but problem is which homes do they belong to when they do that. Most gang homes are broken.
I would think that making home a place of detention istead of being in prison (you may be safer locked away) and home becomes your prison, is not really the answer either. Shouldnt home be your refuge.

it is easy to foil an electronic bracelet so its not detected so am not sure why police dont see they a bit useless.

In the Bible if you commited a crime there were cities of refuge you could flee too apparently so others wouldnt avenge you. Or God would put a mark on you, like he did with Cain.

As for racism Im really not sure if its a territorial thing though its not a fun thing to be judged solely on your appearance. Book Of Esther is interesting in that Esther hid that she was Jewish (could the King not tell?) though her beauty won him over initially.

Though if you ARE seen as beautiful often you arent allowed to speak but just there to be gazed at.

Racism even extends to believers!! Have not all races who are believers been attacked?? LOL YOU BET!! This will never end until Jesus comes back! What is sad is that I have heard many believers looking to separate from others because of color or race. By doing this they miss out on learning so much from others!! Hence why the Church is in such sad shape!

The real Church of Jesus Christ knows no color. For our creator created all colors to start with! WHO is better among us than another?? NOT ME!! In my 70 years of life, I have learned so much from all races, creeds and colors! AND LOVE, TRUE LOVE!!! Only looks for Jesus in another!! At least that is the way I see this.

Its impossible to prove that your not a racist, I think thats why everyone is obsessed with this topic. It seems like people will do anything to try and not seem that way. Its almost like a manufactured sin. Its wrong to hate anyone. Thats all that should be said.

In my experience, most people are a lot more forgiving of someone of another race than those in their own race. I've seen every race judge each other in the most critical ways, but completely forgive someone of another race for the same behavior.

I was thinking of skin colour the other day, how mine is kind of multicolour, like you can see the veins sometimes and I have spots/freckles too.

When people go on about white people or black people but they never say anything about pink people (or grey) and pale people go to sun tanning salons to get brown/bronzed, and dark people use bleaches to get paler.

I am really over it. I know it probably does peoples heads in when couples get together and they produce offspring that are mixed up versions of themselves but that is the nature of reproduction, we are not clones. If we always mated with those who always looked exactly like ourselves we would probably be extemely inbred and have no chins and webbed feet.

Do you ever encounter racism?
What do you do about it? Why do people have this idea that people of a certain colour only belong to certain countries. Weird. If you are born in a land, you belong to it no matter what colour your skin is or what you look like. If you choose to make your home here, thats home is where you are right now.

What do you think? Is it just a way of saying 'you are different and you dont belong here?'
In order:
yes
normally nothing
history - for background investigate the origin and meaning of the words nations, ethnos, and race.

Racism is anti-Christian.
Acts 17:24 The * God who has made the world and all things which are in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands,

Acts 17:25 nor is served by men's hands as needing something, himself giving to all life and breath and all things;

Acts 17:26 and has made of one blood every nation of men to dwell upon the whole face of the earth, having determined ordained times and the boundaries of their dwelling,

Acts 17:27 that they may seek * God; if indeed they might feel after him and find him, although he is not far from each one of us:

Acts 17:28 for in him we live and move and exist; as also some of the poets amongst you have said, For we are also his offspring.

In the Body of Christ:
Gal 3:28 There is no Jew nor Greek; there is no bondman nor freeman; there is no male and female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus:
Gal 3:29 but if ye [are] of Christ, then ye are Abraham's seed, heirs according to promise.

Col 3:9 Do not lie to one another, having put off the old man with his deeds,
Col 3:10 and having put on the new, renewed into full knowledge according to [the] image of him that has created him;
Col 3:11 wherein there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondman, freeman; but Christ [is] everything, and in all.

I heard churches were segregated according to colour and race in the US and also South Africa. I think it's still like that in some areas, and they had things called 'sundown towns'

Schools can be here but not overtly so, but its mostly what people can afford, and ethnic groups often occupy different levels of income in different areas. So you have this thing of 'white flight' where all those rich enough go to one school and those who are poor and can't afford it are usually not white and end up in the other schools.

Those in power tend to be priveliged and white, because the 'Great White Brotherhood' has to be white of course. But then again there's stuff like 'the white man's burden' which must be considerable, seeing racist policies in many countries (Australia, Nazi Germany etc) devastated anyone who wasn't of a prescribed background. And in India it's all according to caste, generally the paler you are, the more higher up you are in the hierarchy.

I really don't know why this is. I ask God about it, and its Satan's doing. Or it's because some people can't handle too much sun? Birds are all different colours and don't peck each other cos of the colour of their feathers and they can fly around wherever they want if they are able. Who says that birds of one colour all have to stay in one place. Isn't it just sort of adapting to your climate anyway?

I garden, and there seemed to be this trend, especially in English gardens, to have gardens of all one colour (like a white garden, where all the flowers are white) and I'm like what, that just sounds like a racist garden to me lol. What is wrong with having a bit of contrast or a pop of colour.

It's called aesthetics Lanolin. As a librarian you should appreciate this when filing books.

Only once back in '63 in Houston, TX. I was a Boston Yankee, which was a BAD thing to be in Houston in '63. BUT I was White, which WAS a good thing to be in Houston in '63.

Anyway, I got a job as a truck mechanic for $70 dollars a week (since I was white), the the other truck mechanic only got $60 a week (since he was black). If anything He was better at his job than I was - but he was black.

nope we mostly shelves books by subject or author alphabetically NOT aesthetically

You dont know anything about being a librarian it seems.

Sometimes we catgegorise geographically or by language, but books can be of any colour on the spine. We make no distinction unless you an anal archivist which is different from librarians, or someone who cant read.

how did you know it was according to colour, was every other black and white person receiving the same. weird. Did the black mechanic receive $10 extra in food stamps or something. Were you both doing the same job and starting at the same time?

an all white garden is really hard on your eyes with the glare, but I dont know why those english gardeners do that, cant they just wait till winter when everything is buried under snow then it would be an all white garden.

When they came to nz and everything was mostly green I think they got a shock.

Not "Wierd at all". This was HOUSTON TX in 1963.

Don't be silly This was Houston Texas in 1963. Getting unemployment was even frowned upon on THAT society!!! And Blacks weren't worth a white man's salary. even if the White man was a Yankee.

Were you both doing the same job and starting at the same time?
Of course we were. same duties, same hours, same responsibilities - different skin color.
